A really nice project. You don’t see a lot of these built. Great detail work. -

Neat project! Ok, who brought the dog? -
Kenworth K123, "Old Blue" Carnie rig..

Unique build from a unique operation. I like the generator. Looks they they had to put the fifth wheel all the way back to accommodate. I suppose the fleet owners didn’t want to have to stretch the frame. I guess as long as the axles scaled out ok, it was fine. Probably didn’t want a longer tractor anyway, making it harder to maneuver it some tight locations, right? -
Excellent. Glad to see the outdoor photos. They take an already impressive model to the next level of realism.

looking for 2007 freightliner??
vincen47 replied to oldr-n-drt's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Not impossible, but not easy. Depends somewhat on which model you’re after, but most are not readily available. A&N Resin made a Coronado, they’re not stocking it right now, but STSupply has one. It’s the 2010+ generation, but with minor modification it could be made into a 2007, as it’s mostly the headlights that are different. I believe A&N also made the previous round headlight model, at one time. They currently offer an Argosy, if it’s a cabover you’re looking for, but that’s the 2012+ model, though they did make the previous generation, too. Their circa 2007 Argosy is much harder to find. So, the late model Argosy is the only modern Freightliner you can easily get right now. There’s been a Classic XL made in resin, but nothing currently offered, so again, that’ll be hard to find. There also was one guy who made a Columbia, but those are extremely rare, only a few were cast. -
CaraRam! (Caravan pickup)

Wow, now that’s an interesting build. Great craftsmanship, design, and creativity. One would have to wonder about the ride and handling of a 1:1 version? -

Nice. I love the paint. She’s a beauty. I have a 1:1 ‘86 Eddie Bauer. This is the first time I’ve seen someone to an EB inspired paint scheme on the forum. I like the tail light treatment, that’s unique, too. -

Old '97

Ah, yes. Very true. Fertilizer is harsh. I agree, every mark, streak, dent, and scar tells a story when it comes to the life of a vehicle. Models like this that represent a vehicle that’s been down the “road of life” are the most interesting. -

Great build. Yeah, the rust is more of a coastal pattern. Excellent job on it. Here in Michigan, they rust from the bottom up. The wheel wells and cab corners would be gone. -
Czech Truck Model has them. CTM is highly recommended, they make great stuff. ST Supply and Moluminum are distributors here in North America, but you can also buy direct.

Sad to hear. He was a great contributor to the hobby. He ran a good and honest business. -
New Garbage Body Coming
vincen47 replied to Warren D's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
That was my plan too. I was only planning to get the Garwood kit for the body and use it on a different truck. But, the whole time I’ve been thinking how I wish it was a Leach 2r II body with that iconic big ‘ol teardrop rear. The Leach body also fits a larger era of trucks, I believe. It is much more common than the Garwood body in the upcoming kit, and still seen on the roads today. Placed my order this evening. -
New Garbage Body Coming

I like the look of the larger Leach body, so I’ll grab this instead of the smaller Garwood truck. It’ll look great on the back of a Mack R. -

Nice article in MCM, and a great build. Looking forward to more of your content in the magazine in the future. -
Agreed, the best one since they’ve returned. I like the new features, especially Truck Route.

Model Truckin Decals
vincen47 replied to James Maynard's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Try contacting him at jerry@modeltruckin.com - that’s the email address that was used for the order confirmation back in November when I most recently made a purchase. Let him know about the link issue, I’m sure he’ll try to get it fixed asap. -
Model Truckin Decals
vincen47 replied to James Maynard's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I haven’t ordered since his new site went live, but I know he’s been working at getting all of his decals loaded onto the new site. I agree that it doesn’t seem to operate as well as the old one. I’d email him directly about the Piggly Wiggly decals. I bet he still makes them, they’re just not up there yet.
