I agree. A collector might get very mad finding they were bait and switched -
1/25 AMT 1964 Olds Cutlass F85 Convertible

I just got my cutlass yesterday. It is very nice. It is not an exact copy of the original. The bumpers are not dated so it might not satisfy those people who are restoring original builders -
Any up dates on the Moebius chevy II gasser ?

I will probably buy this kit but I really want the 1964 Nova. -
This is a miracle build , Not sure how you hogged out the windows so well.

Design Pitch: MPC Retro "Forever 80s" collection

I think a 1975/75 Camaro would be nice to see again. Even the straight re-pop SSlasher 1972 Chevelle would be welcomed as well. -
Revell 1969 Mustang Boss 302............My take with pics!

Better to have the fixed piece glass and let the modeler apply some chrome trim. -
I could never understand why AMT put a Blue Crescent engine in this Police car?

That's a 1963 designed kit. I built 2 of these in the sixties and a couple more in the seventies. I thought the front end of the AMT discussed here was better than the Revell kit of the same era. There is a later ERTL issued kit with an opening trunk that nobody mentioned

What about the heavy B posts? The Mustang is a hardtop not a post sedan, so what is the deal? -
Like everything from Asia, things are done in batches. In between batches you are out of luck; wait or pay through the nose

This was an MPC kit. I think it shares parts from the amt 1928 Ford Tudor.

MPC Chrysler Hydro-Vee "Charger" Boat Kit and Other Boat Kits

My father had a 1959 17' Thompson wooden boat with a 75 hp Johnson outboard motor , carried by a Gator single axle trailer with rubber rollers in the center. There were other rollers and sliders to distribute the weight on the trailer. The trailer also swivels on the center to help loading/unloading. No trailer brakes. I am guessing some dual axle trailers had electric brakes? -
Any details on the conversion? the grille, turn signals ect.

I cut the roof off a 1965 Grand Prix and combined the 2+2 bumpers and interior and created a convertible. Emblems can be made on decals but fender louvers are a bit more complicated. There I used tin foil copy of ERTL 2+2 kit.

That is a Round2 possiblity though some boat hull parts will need to be fashioned. -

Rudy Ramos's Rayson Craft boat are related as a kit tool to the Hull Raiser though not exactly the same. The Model King offering was the Hull Raiser and the MPC 1970 Bonneville convertible. -

The demise of Chrysler marine was a function of the Ioccoca government loan. Some things had to die. Like Chrysler of South America as well. -

It's not clear to me what scale this is , though it seems close to 1/25 or larger. Finding a trailer is an issue, as large boats like that need a double axle. I thought about a modified Blueprinter trailer kit with boat supports. -

Alan You have illustrated my greatest fear of buying an unbuilt opened box; missing parts. -

Wes Gallogly was a lawyer who was a buddy with Ford people in the late '40s.He owned AMT. Starting with aluminum, he went to plastic later. He had a friend who started SMP that separated Chevy models from Ford
