  1. Does Motor City Resin have the small 71/72 bumper and grille?
  2. The MPC kit had more parts to make everybody happy than the AMT. Stock '71-73 grille missing after Boss 351 issue.
  3. Ironically, the best hubcap/trim ring for a '71-'73 Mustang came from the worst model company; Palmer. Palmer only made 3 1/25 kits. They were the Corvette, Mustang and Dodge Challenger. The deteriorating chrome on the '70 kit makes the hubcap look smaller than it is. I was planning on using one of these for a Diamonds Are Forever '71 Mustang. The AMT '73 Mustang is basically a decent kit. It would be nice if somebody made a resin set of items to replace the stock items. I don't think Round2 will ever restore it back to stock.
  4. Jesse, I found it. Flat 1971-1973 Mustang hood was from t.m.resin seller on eBay. $4.99 plus $3 ship
  5. I checked Harts resin and couldn't find it. Unfortunately, I have thrown the packaging away.
  6. This '73 Chevelle was supposed to be the 1972 release . A crippling strike at GM delayed it. Same thing happened to the '70 Camaro.
  7. I wonder why they didn't use the convertible inserts (visors, boot and up top, ht delete)? Got to still have that stuff. Scott, I guess they are counting on the box collectors. That Street Rods box is pretty cool looking.
  8. I got the flat 1971 Mustang hood off eBay a couple of years ago. I just checked but can't find anymore. Seems like it was Missing Link? The tires are Round2
  9. Lucas, good point. I would say yes.
  10. I wonder if they will throw the custom parts in the box anyway? The Street Rods issue T408 didn't have any.
  11. Even the Street Rods kit has Cragars. Too bad they couldn't get Gene Winfield's name on the box. Too much money I guess.
  12. Jacob I wouldn't say it was a bad buy. It's just a vintage kit.
  13. This kit is really old. That's all there is to it. It's basically a promo modified to be a kit. So, it is simple., especially with the chassis. A lot of the kits back then had exhaust molded to the chassis. If you look carefully. you will see where the funny car option is still showing inside the frame for a seat locator. Not only the above is a factor, but this tool is part of the 1966-1972 GTO kit lineup. This means it has bee modified heavily over the years It is a 1967.
  14. It's a Franklin Mint, isn't it?
  15. You guys are really great plastic surgeons!
  16. I suggest the MPC Rusty Wallace Alugard Grand Prix for the front and rear bumpers. The basic body can use the MPC 1979-1980 Monte Carlo (the 1980 was recently reissued by Round2). You will need to fabricate a lot even the GP tail lights. Search 1984 Grand Prix in this forum for what I did.
  17. I was recently in Denmark (Lemvig and Holstebro) and I don't remember that '59 Chevy. LOL Wow, looks like the winters destroy the cars well there too. Those cars lasted about 10 years around Boston with the salt on the road. Very interesting project that is different. Good luck Adam!
  18. Replacing with a 1957 kit interior will give you better detail. Almost all the '58 Fords rusted away in 5-10 years in New England. I never saw any in use by the '70s.
  19. Wow, John that looks great. I feel like there is hope to build mine. Any modifications you had to do to the basic Revell kit?
  20. Another thing.... As a fluke, MPC did the 1974 Barracuda kit front bumpers without bumperettes ( even thought the promo was correct). I am guessing that when MPC did the pro Stock kits, the eliminating the bumperettes.
  21. You have 2 choices; 1- grind off the bumperettes and rechrome 2- Buy 1972 bumpers from Modelhaus
  22. John, is this the Revell model, or 1/32 Gunze?
  23. It appears that the body should be sectioned maybe 3 or so scale inches. Not sure how that could be done.
  24. I have that kit and was looking at it recently. When I build it, I will assemble the top and bottom of the body together to make sure the side fit is good. Then I will cut the frame away as a separate peace. This is necessary to freely install the interior.
