  1. A great way to remember one's friendship.
  2. .........major scratchbuilding on the trans tunnel complete.
  3. Thank you Bill.
  4. James, the trans tunnel is outlined on the floor. I then take measurements and draw the pieces on index card. I cut out the pieces from the index card and see how they fit on the model. Once any adjustments are made, I then transfer those measurements to the sheet styrene and cut it out. And further adjustments are handled, and the pieces are glued together.
  5. 2/3s of the trans hump roughed in. The front 1/3 will be the foot wells, and where it blends into the firewall.
  6. You won't get any arguments from me on that Michael. These are three of my other finished Deuces from Saturday.
  7. Very, very nice! Love the chop and how it sits.
  8. Thanks for the kind words everyone! I tend to build my models as if they were something I would drive 1:1. Thus, some of the mods I do are referenced from magazines. If you look at the new scratch built motor mounts, you'll notice they're for a flathead. im not super detailed like a lot of the others here on this forum, so I usually won't include brake lines, fuel lines, throttle linkage, etc........building w/ that much attention to detail is hard enough 1:1, I just build car models to relax. Rob, I have over 24 car models in various stages of construction, in various boxes, I will no doubt find them one day. But in the meantime, I'll mess w/ this one.
  9. I couldn't locate the two previous Speedwagon projects I started, so I started another.
  10. To me rat rodding is more than a faded paint job, and being slammed to the ground. It's a mix of unlike materials combined together w/ "flow", and it all works out together. This project is just going to be lowered hot rod someone built. If if I was going to rat rod it, I would have used screening for the floor board, sheets styrene for the side panels, and well worn bucket seats.
  11. Nice color combo! ?
  12. I was sitting in traffic, when I got this idea. So I went home, cut the back half off of the front crossmember, and glue in a piece of styrene to lower the front suspension. Then I Z'd the rear suspension and modified the floor pan. I'm going to have to modify the radiator to get it to fit, and notch the underside of the frame rail to get the spring to clear.
  13. .......and that is my plan also. ?
  14. I don't know if my pics are any better than Mike's, but here they are.
  15. Pics don't do your model justice Bernard. It looks so much better in person. It was nice talking to you again, and I hope you made the trip back up to PNW w/o any hiccups.
  16. Rallys! ?
  17. Love it! I'm grabbing a bucket of popcorn and following this!
  18. Nice, can't wait to see it next Saturday!
  19. Very nice! Looking forward to the rest of the build. Bill, aka Ace, has the easiest way to Z a frame. I did it the hard way.
  20. I like the direction you're going. Can't wait to see more!
  21. The truck came out nice!
  22. I like the direction you're going w/ this Bill!
  23. Steve, What is the item number for the tires? TIA!
  24. Nice job on the chop! The profile looks really good!
