I love your builds! I used to go to OCIR with my stepdad when I was a kid and watch all the funny cars race, including Setzer. Your builds always take me back to the great old days of racing! Awesome work!

Got my 1/16th scale Dodge Charger in the mail today, still factory sealed! Still had the price tag on it! This was one of the many grail kits I've been wanting to get.

Well.... Since it's been so long since you worked on 1/16th, it might be better to send it my way! Here's where I've been looking at decals for 1/16th F/C's http://www.modelexpress.net/ Just go down to the drag racing list, and you'll find listings for different decal makers, and resin bodies. Here's a good place to look at different cars that raced. Maybe you'll see a car that you like.... http://www.70sfunnycars.com/ Good luck with the kit, and post some pics of the builds. I'd like to see how it's going! -
I know what you mean about being stuck on other builds. I've got about 10 other builds going at once. Here's a couple of pics of the truck..... After I lowered it.... bugs eye view.... The rear.... The re-done hood.... I added sheet plastic to the rear of the hood, to push it forward, and a piece on the drivers side. Strangely enough, adding it on one side straightened it up correctly.... Yes, I'll take the custom mirrors please. Thanks! My hand is just about healed. The swelling has gone down, now the cut the doc made just has to finish closing up. But at least I can start working on models again! Thanks for asking! My best to you Dan, You're a great friend!

Any progress Dan? I've done a little on mine, including adding those great fenders you gave me. I can't thank you enough for them! I also lowered it as much as I could. I cut off the leaf springs at the mounting point, and re-glued them to the frame where the spring mounts attach. I'll post a pic sometime if you want to see it. Have a great day!

That is nice! The lace paint is awesome. You certainly captured the '70s spirit with this car!

Wow, you must be tired.... It's actually 4,953 miles! -
Why do you guys model cars?
Custom Hearse replied to ericmaxman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I do it because I have so many ideas that i want to make 3 dimensional. I love seeing what I can design into a model, and seeing other (Dave Susan's work for instance) ideas come to life. I like taking flat sheet plastic and turning it into a part that doesn't exist, changing an original design into something that makes people want to try doing something themselves on their builds. I'm a fanatic of beautiful customs that I would love to own, but could never afford. -
Real or Model #86 FINISHED!
Custom Hearse replied to Harry P.'s topic in Real or Model? / Auto ID Quiz
I'm probably wrong (at least that's what my ex-wife always said) but I'm gonna go with model.... -
It looks great JB! Maybe we'll get lucky, and Chance 2 will find the mold and re-pop it. You are doing really great work on it. Keep it up, paint looks good.

His arms aren't tired from flying, but his legs are worn out from the 3000 mile run, and his arms are tired from the swim! -

Nice paintwork! This should be a cool looking build when finished. -
WELCOME! You have some really great builds there! I have to agree with Foxer, that C-cab is really nice! Post more when you get a chance, I like seeing new work.

Well.... Here's more good response! That is the most awesome looking custom I have ever seen! Please keep working on it, 'cause this is gonna be great!

Thanks Atenzapower. I just gotta wait out my injury, and then I can get back to it. That's cool Hanz! I like it. Not too strange, great modelers think alike! Keep up the good work! -
Just for a little while more.... The swelling in my fingers and hand is starting to go away, so i should be back with it soon. Thanks RJ! That's a nice '57 Jon. My problem is, is that I can't leave well enough alone. I could buy a pre-painted snap together, open the box, and start to build it. But then I think of something that would be really cool to do to it, and then the trouble begins. I just can't build a straight out of the box kit!

Thanks Rick.... I'll be back at it soon. -
That is really cool Dave! I need to try doing something like that. That is really great! Ed, at least you got to work in a radio station. I spent $5000 bucks on broadcasting school, and now radio stations use computers for DJ's.... Just my luck!!!!

Thanks Cap'n. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do anything with it for awhile. I injured my hand day before yesterday, and now I can barely type. Thanks for your support with this build, and hopefully I'll be able to get back to it soon. Too late.... (see above) -
I have to stop doing models for awhile do to an injury to my hand. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to it soon. Thanks to everyone who gave me their help with the work and support I've done so far with my builds. I'll still be lurking about, but I won't be able to work on anything. Thanks everyone! Marshall.
