  9. Nice build Jonathan, looking good! With Shapeways, I have found that using thier FUD material, especially for wheels, will give you the smooth surface & detail desired, also if you create your STL file with all 4 wheels in a single sprue, will save you $ from printing 4 wheels seperately

  13. A couple-three pics before the weekend! All major drive train components completed, test fitted and hard primer coated, ready for casting! Construction of ancillary components, timing cover, water pump housing & pulley, crank pulley & damper, and distributor with vacuum advance housing Test fitment of ancillary components together, as they will look on assembled engine ...a few small details, like bolt heads & oil filter extension, and these will be complete!

Major engine components completed; block, intake manifold, cylinder head, oil pan, each in primer coat Stationary fitment of parts together, next is front accessories construction & cast second cylinder head + carburator Started fabrication of the bespoke transaxle, test fitment to bellhousing, using a donor & highly modified transaxle Near completion of transaxle, including rear case cover and bolt head detail

I decided to to build an AMC engine from scratch, started with a generic V8 block & heads, which have no detailing what-so-ever, and will highly modify Adding detailing of the OEM castings, and scratch building other components, like oil pan Unique bellhousing, with ribbing, constructed, starter attached, and primer coated AMC specific intake (dual plane) manifold being constructed, to properly replicate production part, including noticable offset between cylinder banks Intake manifold complete, and cylinder head casting details added, including indents for spark plug wires to attach, and bolt head detail
