  6. Thanks Brian, Robert & Peter! Brian - Good eye, the yellow car in photo shown there, is in fact the only car I've seen, which has fuel filler caps on both sides, all the others having only one on the drivers side. Here's a comparison photo below showing them
  7. Big thanks to mr68gts for VW parts!! Big thanks to AFX for engine parts!!

  16. Thank you guys for the encouraging words, this has been a fun build, and will have further development soon, as I have some free time again & work room! Thanks Brian, Fred, JC, Mark, Carl, Johnathan, Bruce, Brandon, MrObsessive, Mike & Buzz! Fred - you're 100% right, it's a lot of work, but also a lot of enjoyment for me Johnathan - Yes, definitely! Brandon & MrObsessive - Please post a link for his page if you can, I also like the AMX/2 concept, perhaps after this one? Some more pics of work done First primer coat for build up, continued shaping of contours and subtle body shapes to make accurate Nose has many compound curves, and interesting shapes, added head lamp covers and scribing sharp lines of front panels Gas filler cap done, more filler to roof, and further sanding until correct shape completely Continued work on shaping and sanding until body work is correct and accurate Lower front nose section being developed, with incorporated side markers, test fitment with full front suspension & steerable spindles, in place
  17. Looking great JC, bravo!!
  18. Thanks Dave, Bill & Mike! Adding details to front suspension; shock towers, coil spring cups, mounting brackets and bolt heads Adding body details; chrome trim around window openings, cowl vents and "B" pillars Continued body shaping, subtle curves of the front fenders and hood Start of fabricating the rear engine cover, and adding detailing to body further, including gas cap
  19. Really fantastic workmanship John, nicely done!! That Ross resin engine is unreal !!
  20. The EM kits offer a great base for super detailing, and yours is coming along very nicely Fabrizio, looking forward to more!!
  21. Cool project JC, looking good! IIRC is that Scuderia Filipinetti also had a Shelby Daytona Coupe, in same colours, entered that year?!
  22. The first photo lighting makes the body colour look extra cool! Nice start, looking forward to more!
  23. Looks good Thomas, very clean build & nice paint!
  24. Bob - for the most part I curve the styrene simply by hand, even 0.75mm will flex a great deal, and retain shape, but does take some patience to make it retain shape, the rest is by layers and filler then sanded to final shape, CA glue for the most part
  25. Cool project idea, well done!
