Thanks for the good links & info guys No problems if without leads, it's just use to then already having them Found these 5mm LEDs on that link, probably the most common style, only $0.20 each http://www.unique-leds.com/index.php?target=categories&category_id=184 Found a couple of ebay items, like Bill refered to; http://www.ebay.com/itm/100Pcs-3mm-LED-Light-White-Yellow-Red-Green-Blue-Assorted-Kit-DIY-LEDs-Set-/351107387144?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51bfa18f08 http://www.ebay.com/itm/100pcs-3mm-White-Red-Blue-Green-Yellow-LED-Light-Bulb-Emitting-Diode-Lamp-/191172122655?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c82bf181f Joseph, sent you on email -
LED bulbs, best place to buy from?
Jeremy Jon posted a topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Where are you guys finding the best (priced) place to buy mini LED bulbs from? I looked on ebay, but only a few came up (from China of course) Specifically I'm looking plain clear mini bulbs with leads attached, and online is probably best price/shipping option LMK Thanks -

1966 Ford Galaxie 7L kit?
Jeremy Jon replied to Jeremy Jon's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
So what I'm hearing, is that the chassis is definitely better from the 65 kit, and possibly another 427 kit sourced engine would be of better quality detailing also? -

1966 Ford Galaxie 7L kit?
Jeremy Jon replied to Jeremy Jon's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I was just looking further Mark, found this box cover Is this the only 1966 kit, or is there any better version? Reading some comments (on this forum, from search) indicates the details of this kit are not great? Any other-source components I should seek out? since I haven't this kit in my hands of course, it will save time to know/order in advance http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/uploads/post-13034-0-07574300-1407697205.jpg -
Looking around for a kit of this specific model, 1/24-25 scale If not in this specific version, I could convert the 66 AMT galaxie kit maybe? which kit would be the best 7L drivetrain from used? LMK, Thanks!

Thanks Walid, Len & Michel !! Digital graphic work nearly completed, some finishing touches, then send off to the printer's for reduction in hi-rez !! Next, cut out windows, and complete drafting of PE (photo etch) parts template design !!
-
Window templates made up, and copies being cut from styrene clear stock. Done is the in dash bar graph display panel, for the W2 version, which next needs to be taken to the copy shop and reduced in hi-rez on to glossy card stock, along with the California "Vector" license plate & dash radio face. Next is the PE (photo etch) template(s) for the louvers (head lamp + rear window), wing end plates, interior panels & door panels, license plate frame, fuel filler cap, badges and exhaust header covers. Doors are being cast in clear resin, so to make painting with absolutely flush side windows possible!

Hi Mike, here is a tutorial I made for the carpeting http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82303

Thanks guys, it has indeed been frustrating, but progress is being made, and this thing will be finished, or die trying!! LOL In the body paint/decal/polish/assembly stages now, had to acquire more decals (thanks Ben!), but back well underway again!

Porsche 914/6 GT - Historic Racing Miniatures

Looks great JC ! -
Thanks Wilmer, Aaron & Anthony! yes certainly I will Some more new shortly on this, been doing behind the scenes work to make kit components, aside from tires, the doors are being cast in clear resin, so that truly flush-windows can be the result, be simply masking the window area and painting around them

Thanks Larry, Ron, Carl & Mike! yes, I'm anxious to be completed also, but ran into some unexpected trouble, so I've been busy rebuilding the body & modifications, then repaint entirely Had some problems with the clear coat, and decided easiest route was to strip the body, and repaint.... ...the primer and bodywork part line shading went well, after which moved on to first coat of white paint... ...then disaster! placed into the dehydrator, bought new, which read low, but was in fact hotter than that, and bodywork began to get soft ...fortunately I had the second body, so began immediately the same body modifications, as this project already over due! test fit shows the body high at front end, radiator beam needs to be further modified door hinged, and inner framework done to match door panel nose needs some further attention also, with gaps filled & front edge of hood needing extension for proper appearance + fitment
-
Looking good Ben, looking forward to seeing more! Painting body is always the toughest part of a build IMO, intimidating to many, takes repetition and practice, even still I struggle, for a great method to strip paint, without hassle, I've found Castrol Super Clean works really well Here's a pic of my Shelby after a strip-bath recently too

Thanks guys! Bob, yes I will shortly, been tied up with 2 other projects to complete Thanks Carl, hope you're doing well my friend! Thanks Glenn, yes it was a pretty far along in development, some say that they poor sales of the Pantera made them think twice about the AMX3 production ...I also post updates on my FB page Thanks Kerry & James!
