  1. Picked up this NOS set of MPC '64 Vette tires on the 'Bay; 8.00 x 14 Firestone 500s. Not something you see every day (I don't think even Modelhaus Tires makes them); I may use them with some Keystones on my '65 Monaco.
  2. This is a rare opportunity to make Monogram's old error work to your advantage - they made the roof too tall for a Nomad, but for a regular wagon it's right in the ballpark. Good job!
  3. Just spotted this on the H.A.M.B.: From a 1960 Mopar promotional comic book. The whole thing is here (scroll most of the way down): https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/vintage-shots-from-days-gone-by.428585/page-6621#post-13092540
  4. "ENTER!!!" You are correct! You win a bag of Chumpies potato chips! "Frumpies!" Frunkies potato - "Frumpies!"
  5. Now that goes above and beyond. Really captures the look of the limo! The roof treatment reminds me of the old Derham conversions which had heavily padded leather tops with small back windows. Looking forward to more of your Caddys!
  6. "He used to give me the fingah!"
  7. Check out the AMT '34 Ford pickup - the pair of small lights that mount to the wrecker boom might be just what you need, and they come with clear lenses.
  8. I picked up a set of three small replacement chisel points at HobbyTown USA for $12 and change; no handle but their shafts fit right into the 1/16" collet in my pin vise.
  9. How about this, for as low as $16.99 including shipping? https://www.amazon.com/KB-Electronics-8811005-Dial-Control/dp/B0087486N4?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_6#feature-bullets-btf It plugs into the wall outlet and your drill plugs into the bottom; it's a speed control for large fans. I found it by googling "plug-in rheostat".
  10. At the LMMCC meeting last night I picked up a started AMT '58 Impala to be a donor for the Flintstone sedan delivery, and a pair of what appear to be those elusive custom wire wheel covers from the AMT '64 Fairlane (Thanks Steve G.). Also got a set of '36 Ford wheel spiders cast up for me by Tom Piagari from my mold (he has a pressure pot - I don't; thanks greatly!) and a set of Caddy Sabre wheels from Tom Geiger (again, thanks greatly!).
  11. "Telephone... telephone... telephone..."
  12. For me, 1957 - wouldn't mind having any American car from that year, except maybe Packard (that would have to be '56) or fullsize Nash.
  13. And if you want to really live in 1/24 scale, here you go: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Simca-Aronde-P60-Elysee-1960-1-24-New-Box-Diecast-model-Car-auto-vintage/352583546863?hash=item52179df7ef:g:wC8AAOSw7GNav0wO Another little diecast gem from the folks at Hachette. (1/24 scale Lee slacks not included.)
  14. Magnificent work, Paul! Even if by some unimaginable twist of fate Revell makes one, I bet it won't look nearly as good!
  15. I'm kind of at the point where I just may pass on this one due to (1) a backlog of projects and (2) I'd still have to get a '57 promo for the wheelcovers and bumpers. Paging Paul Hettick, if you'd like to tackle this...
  16. Still there -Try this: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ftrt=901&_fsradio=%26LH_SpecificSeller%3D1&_sop=10&_sadis=15&_byseller=1&_stpos=60062-7542&_odkw=&_saslop=1&_fss=1&_dmd=1&_sofindtype=0&_sasl=vintagemodelcarparts&_osacat=0&_ftrv=1&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xmalibu.TRS0&_nkw=malibu&_sacat=0
  17. Got a nearly-complete NOS '62 Fairlane V8 today: That'll replace the glue blob in mine; it was also missing the fan and belt and had the wrong valve covers. The air cleaner was the only thing that was OK, now I just have to carve the rest of the old engine out from under it .
  18. (Your PM box is full) Hi Richard, Just spotted this on eBay - vintagemodelcarparts is parting out a complete '65 Craftsman Chevelle (scroll down): https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sofindtype=0&_byseller=1&_nkw=&_sacat=0&_udlo=&_udhi=&_ftrt=901&_ftrv=1&_sabdlo=&_sabdhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=60062-7542&_fss=1&_fsradio=%26LH_SpecificSeller%3D1&_saslop=1&_sasl=vintagemodelcarparts&_sop=10&_dmd=1&_fosrp=1&_pgn=3&_skc=400&rt=nc Happy bidding! (Sorry for the interruption, but it is kinda on topic. Now back to our previous broadcast, already in progress. )
