  1. Stop, Snake - we'll all be yawning! At least the Plan 9 from Outer Space saucer has some of the funniest box art since the Used Cars promo kit. Oh, and I added to my tags:
  2. Ahh... beat me to it - I wanted to give it tags "kangaroo" and "cool" .
  3. The Godfather Pt. 2.
  4. At first it sounded like Godzilla with a head cold, but but it got much better by the end.
  5. Neat trick on the scripts - is that a combination of Hubley Ford Country Sedan and Jo-Han deVille?
  6. Vacuum cleaners used to have spray attachments that (IIRC) were plugged into the exhaust tube; I once saw it referred to as a bug spray attachment.
  7. The ones on the left were also used in the stock '29 A roadster kit, and also for the wheel on the rear bumper-mounted test device in the '65 Grand Prix.
  8. Richard, have you seen this? It looks awfully familiar like from the early magazines. Maybe a clone by another builder? https://www.ebay.com/itm/BUILT-VINTAGE-DOMINATOR-1940-FORD-WILD-CUSTOM/401756076250?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131017132637%26meid%3D79056721d777456a93ac6d08efb19c29%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D7%26rkt%3D8%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D283461303378%26itm%3D401756076250&_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042 Good luck, -Chris (tried to PM but the box is full?)
  9. Steve, I'm getting 404 errors on these - can you load them directly?
  10. Wow! Talk about overdosing on cute! The first one looks like it has an early Rambler roof grafted on; not sure about the second one (scratchbuilt?).
  11. Great info, guys! Dunk an old toothbrush in the stuff and flick the bristles, maybe, or use an old spray bottle that you were going to toss out?
  12. Wonder whose barn they're tucked away in now?
  13. Man, that sucks big time - plus now you need a new TV. Looks like with a lot of very careful drilling and pinning the broken areas, and some equally careful touchups and fresh BMF to cover the joints on the pillars, it would be savable. Don't give up! We're pulling for you.
  14. I don't, but if you asked me on February 31st, that's what my Buick has...
  15. Thanks for the "mini-review", Bill - the last couple days I've been looking at a Vics '58 Pontiac wagon and wondering about the quality.
  16. Clearance time again? Great! I was in Deerfield yesterday and didn't see any clearance items... yet (so I got some sandpaper). Karl, do you remember what else was being cleared out? Been hoping to get one of the '68 El Caminos cheeep.
  17. Duly noted and done: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/can-you-id-this-cut-down-truck.1147838/ You know, the more I look at it, the more I want to build one like it .
  18. But seriously, Joe, can you show us some photos of the parts you've chromed with the ALSA system?
  19. My only problem with the car being a Nash is the position of the hole for the cowl light - every shot of the Nash I find has it centered between the hood and windshield, not close to the hood like this one. I also looked at some Studebakers from this vintage and while they have many of the same features, they also have the cowl lights centered. Kurt, would you mind if I posted this photo on the H.A.M.B.? We'd probably get a definitive answer there.
  20. They're '61s. '61s have the emblem in the center, '62s have "Continental" around the center, and ''63s have a blank center.
