  1. Possibly dumb question, but could the old tools/molds themselves be high-res scanned to create masters for 3D printing?
  2. Well! If it comes out soon, great - I have a green '56 kit and photoetch emblems ready to go. Now howzabout a 3D printed chassis? Per Okey on FB: "The new kit will not be ready, but I will show the work in progress." ZTony8, can you confirm?
  3. I made a '42 conversion on the AMT 1/43 '48 Ford Coupe to display with a 1/48 B-17; to make the grille I recall I used the bottom half of the custom grille from the 'AMT '37 Chevy - split it down the middle to make the two side pieces, and used a finned chrome valve cover from the AMT '55 Nomad to make the vertical center bar - I thought it came out pretty good.
  4. Warner mechanical tachometer
  5. Tom Piagari had a Cruver Olds too; his plan was to make molds and copy all the small parts to take up the slack after The Modelhaus closed - then mold the body to make a complete kit. One of the many projects that didn't happen before it was too late. Interesting to note that it looks to be molded in acetate - but the ones I've seen have little to no warpage/shrinkage. Wouldn't mind having one myself.
  6. Later today would be fine. If you held off until Thursday the 1st, we'd have our doubts.
  7. Atlantis has the molds for at least some of the Revell '62 Mopar annuals; it's going to take some restoration and licensing (they haven't gotten permission from Chrysler yet) - was hoping they'd come this or next year.
  8. Hmm. So, '62 Mopars in 2024...? The Curtiss Jenny and F-89 look good.
  9. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with an Auto Cutter!
  10. J5 - '66 Charger, Polara convertible and Monaco.
  11. F1 - Jo-Han '61 Cadillac. G4 - Jo-Han '59 Cadillac.
  12. So... anyone have a Trumpeter Nova hardtop to compare to the Moebius and AMT kits for accuracy?
  13. Not bad! Does anyone make that '54 grille?
  14. Watch for the AMT model display featuring George Barris at 1:14:15, then stick around right after that for Dobie Gray's KILLER performance of the title song!
  15. I have an idea, but it's a bit involved (four pieces) - best for a casting master. You'd need: 1 wheelcover from the AMT Avanti 2 wheelcovers from the Lindberg/AMT '64 Belvedere 1 wheelcover from the AMT '69 Ford LTD Cut out the Avanti wheelcover like the one on the right: Take the center from one '64 Plymouth wheelcover and countersink it into the second so it's level with the cone: Cut down the combined Plymouth wheel until it fits into the Avanti rim. Lastly, cut the center emblem from a '69 Ford Galaxie and glue it to the center of the new cover. Quick-and-dirty version: Use the Plymouth wheelcovers as is and add the five slots with a fine black art pen, like a normal person would do.
  16. I'd think the Buick Skylark GS, being a muscle car, might stand a good chance as a reissue/recreation if Round2 put as much effort into it as they did with the Nova wagon. Maybe even base the chassis on the Lindberg 442 tooling?
