  1. And spotted this little cutie in town this morning: "Phone booth" Model A pickup with a Buick nailhead. Local car, I believe.
  2. Went with my boss to an auction preview on Friday and saw this poor old dog: Complete car with V8 and power brakes; originally white over gold, but very very rusty. Roof, C-pillars and panel below back window were all rotten . Sold the next day - top bid $8000.
  3. This one became a musician :
  4. I stopped by the general store in Lucerne Valley today and picked up an Atlantis 1/32 Chevy Nova; been wondering if it would be feasible to use the engine and underhood stuff in a Monogram 1/32 Chevy Malibu police car kit. Anyone else tried this?
  5. OK. Sunset, or lake of molten lava? Discuss.
  6. I (or somebody) could get a little cottage industry going molding clear red resin taillights for Moebius kits!
  7. That would take a seance. How much do those cost?
  8. That would take a seance. How much do those cost?
  9. Snip off everything but https://www.ebay.ca/itm/265321178766 and it will still work. Supposedly the rest is tracking cookies?
  10. Dave, would a four-door police/taxi version be something Moebius would consider for this tool, or the '65 Plymouth?
  11. of parliamentary procedure
  12. Snapped this shot in Yucca Valley way back in 2009. R.I.P. Ronnie Spector :
  13. The H.A.M.B. has an informal betting pool going on the final price - winner gets a T-shirt. I've put in for $1.325 million. Anyone else want to guess the top bid? https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-hirohata-mercury-price-take-a-guess-and-win-a-prize.1245254/
  14. I do too, but it's full of leftover Continental parts .
  15. I remember that was discussed here once - AMT '64 Fairlane friction promo and Korris Kars Olds F-85 wagon.
  16. Wonder what sort of chassis would work under it to make a stock-ish driver? Maybe MPC '32 Chevy, with a Jeep flathead four-banger? At least it has a grille and horizontal ('34) hood louvers that the full-detail kit doesn't have. ETA: Just went down a Willys rabbit hole on the H.A.M.B. - there's considerable doubt as to whether ANY '33-'34 panels were made - apparently all the existing "early" ones are actually '35-'36s with earlier front end sheetmetal.
