  1. Highway - sorry to hear about your rotator surgeries, my step father had his rebuilt after trying to stop a rollaway trailer tire . His never healed properly either, and had very limited movement in it. Far as your build goes , the trailer exceeds the " new / rebuilder " rule , so that's not eligible. The tractor as you stated would be a complete new kit , and that would certainly qualify. I struggled with just allowing any build at any stage prior to starting the event. Finally decided to limit the starting points to those listed. Hope to see ya participate !
  2. Your welcome ! Lee - Thanks for joining in , I've added your name and build . These 1/32 offerings are gaining popularity
  3. Thanks to the moderators for pinning this topic! Casey 429 no problem I'll add you to the list , thanks for joining.
  4. I updated the first post to add the entrants and builds . I'll continue to update as the builds are chosen Have a Merry Christmas everyone
  5. Warren D - thanks for joining up I added ya to the list . That 761 was part of Syracuse's fleet, unsure when the photo was taken. I figured it was a nysdot truck, but guess they didnt run 5 hole budds on their trucks according to an enthusiast. Sam - I m trying to stay on task, but struggle with willpower when something interesting comes along lol
  6. Sam - yup I'm gonna cheer along as the builds progress. I thought about working on the kw, but my track record of getting sidetracked is well known lol and I really want to wrap up the Oshkosh plow. I did stumble across this photo , and it nearly derailed me..
  7. No worries , we'll all be following along cheering for ya !! Merry Christmas
  8. Welcome aboard ! Last yr we just added BRBO to the title, then everyone knew it was for the event. I'll post the entry list tomo and will update as other builders join in !

  10. Lol I tweaked the rules too cause I forgot to include equipment ! Looking forward to your updates , those manuals are invaluable for this kind of work
  11. Absolutely welcome Kerry ! Glad to have ya on board
  12. Awesome work, I see a ton of tires in your future
  13. Welcome aboard Tom ! I'm sure you'll find something cool in your stash to build...maybe something resin Welcome aboard cant wait to see what you find to build ! I used to have an N scale train set, always wanted to build a small table top layout.
  14. Stunning work already Tom ! Too bad you didnt stand by w a shovel for a few short day and enter this in the BRBO 2020 !! I'll be following along either way
  15. Wish I could post the set he just made for autism awareness to be donated off. The rims has small colored puzzle pieces cut into the rim , absolutely gorgeous work.
  16. Always speechless watching your builds come together. Turning simple items into complex shapes amazes me , and the photos show the details off Just looking at building a euro style truck similar to those used at the Bulmer Cider plant in England. Guess their a very distant relative to me , after the grandparents immigrated to the US .
  17. Tesla - yup that's the set they came from ! Yeah shes growing up so fast, gonna be 4 this spring. Starting pre K soon . She's a scratch builder too lol Merry Christmas to everyone also !
  18. Fabbed up the rear fenders too, the 1- 1 had these enormous diamond plate rolled fenders . I had some remaining 020 plastruct sheet that looked perfect. I rolled some KnS 008 tin around paint can then attached the plastic . And mocked everything up... One issue that arose was the need for a spacer under hopper . Quick piece of square tube fixed that
  19. I tried hand at making gaskets , really worked well if I'd paid attention to lining up trim before gluing. Used scrap of 015 for gasket. The gasket on drivers side A pillar was off , I trimmed it back and added a strip inside that still needs sanding The detailed springs photo bombed the pic too, small pe etch and copper wire U bolts make them pop
  20. I'd have to search but know I have the etch R700 emblems left over . Your welcome to them if I can find em
  21. Beautiful work and outstanding paint
