  1. Thanks Gary Thanks for following along. One talented modeler Joe R , made us some gorgeous decals for the trucks. Gary was a huge fan of WV. I'm planning to use a couple for this Thanks Alex, beautiful tribute truck
  2. Beautiful work! The jigs look like they'd be very useful I noticed your working w knee walls too for your workspace ! I live in a cape cod house, the entire upstairs is like that. Makes hanging shelves for builds an issue
  3. Its gonna be ridiculous lol just the way work trucks like this should be. I've seen photos of the wheels, it should work well for this truck
  4. A group of builders that attend the Fulton NY model show decided to have a group build, doing something that Gary would've built. I wasn't sure what to build until a friend suggested this. A quick swap for a parts box, I had my build. The plan is kinda loose right now, it might end up being a dump truck..dunno. The build starts w a kit and goodies.. Thats right folks..steel hoods rule !!!! I have some big tires, and old school spokes being cast..so I tore into the box. First up was a cab mockup w the steel hood. I've always admired the steel hood builds on here, and this is no different. That's it for now, while half the kit soaks in chrome stripper..
  5. Well done on the bulkheads ! The trailer progress looks great
  6. Looking good! Really like the 5600 hood on the Paystar
  7. Nice start ! 1st I've seen this casting , doesn't look too shabby
  8. That engine is a work of art..too bad its mostly covered up
  9. Thanks Dave ! I assumed these were for show, not go.
  10. We toured the National Corvette museum yesterday, and near the end of the day, they have a beautiful display of movie/ show cars. One that peaked my curiosity, was the Popcorn Wagon from designer Carl Casper. The double blower arrangement was interesting, and caused me to wonder if its actually functional? We missed the unveiling of the new Sky Dome display by a couple days, all the cars were being uncovered and moved when we toured.
  11. Well done w the corrugated evergreen sides. The printed parts look good also
  12. Thanks , I didn't want to let ya down this late in the game lol Thanks! I tried the flashing metal, but it didn't shape as clean. I should've annealed the brass before making the curves easier
  13. @Mopar - D- your anti - glare light covers are finished! I curled up a few scraps of brass etch for the light covers . While I was working on the front, I started building a set of wipers. Thanks for following along
  14. Great looking period correct wrecker Too bad to hear about the tamiya tape bleeding problems, hope ya find something better
  15. Hehehe you implied correctly! I've been slacking off..caught daughters head cold the last few days..can't fab parts w this cough. Dr hooked me up w proper meds..won't be long Yep
  16. Amazing display! I keep looking over the photos trying to pick out items I'd recognize where ya sourced em from..like Easter eggs lol
  17. Many , not all, of the Brockways I peeked into during their annual homecoming show in Cortland, had a light green interior. There of course were several redone in a variety of colors..ya can't go wrong ! It's always enjoyable checking out the trucks being restored, that the owners were able to get road worthy. Not a cabver, but still a special truck that made an appearance a few yrs ago
  18. Remarkable work! Really like these boxy tractors
  19. I was toying idea of the stop sign, but after chatting w my Uncle, their buses didn't have them till a few yrs later. I might add one anyway..hehehe
