  1. Great looking period correct wrecker Too bad to hear about the tamiya tape bleeding problems, hope ya find something better
  2. Hehehe you implied correctly! I've been slacking off..caught daughters head cold the last few days..can't fab parts w this cough. Dr hooked me up w proper meds..won't be long Yep
  3. Amazing display! I keep looking over the photos trying to pick out items I'd recognize where ya sourced em from..like Easter eggs lol
  4. Many , not all, of the Brockways I peeked into during their annual homecoming show in Cortland, had a light green interior. There of course were several redone in a variety of colors..ya can't go wrong ! It's always enjoyable checking out the trucks being restored, that the owners were able to get road worthy. Not a cabver, but still a special truck that made an appearance a few yrs ago
  5. Remarkable work! Really like these boxy tractors
  6. I was toying idea of the stop sign, but after chatting w my Uncle, their buses didn't have them till a few yrs later. I might add one anyway..hehehe
  7. Nice work so far ! The hard suction hoses look excellent
  8. Really enjoy following your detailed build ! Glad to see your success tinting the windows, I've tried in the past and ended up w a foggy finish. Keep up the great work
  9. I heard Daniel was working up the molds this week ! Our truck/ equipment builders will have another engine option. This wouldn't have been possible without the kindness of our member Tom Decker aka @redneckrigger offering his support. Thanks ..I keep finding other things to add @Mopar - D- thanks so much. I told my in laws the bus needs its own shelf..so now I get to hang one lol
  10. Progress on the bus..3d printed steps I purchased from moluminum and wrapped up the mirrors down to the last bits till I shelve it awhile. The DT466 engine I wanted is being cast by a fellow modeler, and once its done I'll wrap this up
  11. Excellent work on the rivets and smaller details
  12. I had planned to use brass rod which would be easier. I had the plastic rod on hand Thats why they sell glue..for those accidents Thanks..I was already warned this was going on in laws fireplace mantle when its finished
  13. Thanks Steve ! I was trying to keep everything to scale by doing them w rod. I mocked up a white metal set first, but didn't care for the look. I found a set of ultra rare mirrors w mounts w the right curvature for the 2 part side mirrors I wanted to replicate. They probably came from an Ollie's 4300 kit.. I removed the molded on mounts, sanded the back smooth, then cut them about 1/4" wide. Each side gets 2 heads. Heres the real deal How they began... After the chopper.. I need to replace one edge after chopping them, probably a strip of square rod will work. Thanks for riding along!
  14. Fantastic work so far !
  15. I fabbed up a pair of west coast style mirror mounts today! After looking over several kit mirrors, aka telephone poles, I grabbed some evergreen rod and got busy bending. I chose 030" rod for a scale appearance. Meng bolts finish off the mounts. Surprisingly it went fairly quick, after a couple snapped bends. Tomorrow I'll tackle the actual mirror heads, and blind spot mirrors on the hood . Thanks to everyone following along !
  16. good looking build ! Too bad your not keeping it for your collection, but the new owner will definitely love it
  17. well done on your KW alaskan hauler
  18. great color on your Foose Ford ! I'll parrot what Tom mentioned about the glass, mine clicked in so well, it was never glued. I've mis-handled that build more than any other, and the glass hasn't shifted. An extremely fun build to break up long projects. Doing a quick search here turned up tons of Foose builds, showing how many fall together
  19. keep up the progress, the add-ons will make for a fantastic bike
  20. absolutely stunning work! The pre-shading panels, then drawing lines around areas really give a dimension to the parts making everything cohesive.
