  1. The order I placed with Shapeways in June is still showing the same level of progress it has for the past two month, so I wouldn't read too much into that. Maybe they're hoping people will still try to send them money, or maybe nobody is around to shut the server off. Interesting that the forum and the investors page are the only two parts of the website that don't work.
  2. I'm interested in that T-bird. It looks like it has the parts to make a '55
  3. I think the front end is my favourite part of it. I really like the Jarama/ Alfa Montreal vibe.
  4. Hemmings' blog had an article not too long about about how MIllenials were getting into Brass era cars. If certain cars aren't the hot collectibles they were, this might be bad news for the speculators, maybe this is good news for the people who just love them, but the market was too crazy?
  5. Stylists did change jobs, and it would be interesting to find out if there's a connection. The Chrylser Turbine car was the brainchild of a former Ford employee, and is basically a cleaned up version of a concept cat he designed for Ford.
  6. Yes, thank you for some great reference material.
  7. I got my copy of Monarch & Meteor from these guys. https://www.transportbooks.com/?v=e4b09f3f8402
  8. My favourite Capital "C" Classic is probably this 1931 Packard.
  9. People keeps saying that nobody will love the "new" cars when they get old, and yet it keeps happening.
  10. Seeing how Round 2 is not so much in the model business as the collectible business, they're missing a big opportunity by not selling frameable prints of some of their nicer box art.
  11. If anything, that just shows why photos are a good thing.
  12. It's whats in the box that's important. Photos may not be as pretty, but I'd rather see what you're getting. If you want art, buy a poster. If anything, too much emphasis on the box art makes me suspicious what they're trying to hide.
  13. I paid $20 Canadian for one in a box like that just a few years ago at a local hobby shop. If you include the Car show edition, the last time was in 2009.
  14. I like this idea. When it comes to concept cars, the one at the top of my list would be GM's Firebid III
  15. Definitely right up there, and it needs to be immortalized in styrene. You can see where GM was taking its inspiration for the 2nd generation Camaro.
  16. I've suspected that a lot of the demand for the Coronet was like the demand for the Uncertain T. in that they saw the original kits going for stupidly high prices, so they wanted it just because they couldn't get it. All the same, I'm sorry to hear it's not doing well, and I hope it doesn't make the company gun shy about requests. Personally, if Round2 were to do a '63-65 Pontiac Grand Prix, I'd be all over that.
  17. I thought it looked like an extra large Renault 12, which helped a lot
  18. On the hardtop, at least, they are round.
  19. If they ever bring back the 1957 Ford, it would be nice if they could include the side pieces for the Meteor grille Maybe do the side trim as a separate piece, and some photoetch badges so they don't have to redo the whole body.
