Ambitious project
tbill replied to Mercuryman54's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
i usually like to make a build thread [haven't lately though], i think my longest one was my 6 baldwin motion camaro's and chevy titan 90 with car carrier to haul them. the build took 6 months, and i had a boat load of pic's in it. in short, post away with many pic's -

Wow, I had a 77 F85 too! Mine had an odd fire 231 V6 with manual 3 on the tree. White with a black and white interior and funky Checker board seat inserts, also, was a radio delete car. About as plain Jane as you could get. -
Never used to give it much thought, but lately I have been using them, if for nothing else to keep my hands paint free. Got tired of multi colored fingers, lol.

Fantastic job! That came out great. Now you need to build a paver and a dump truck to go with it? -

How does your family deal?
tbill replied to Jeff31293's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wife is fine with it, I have my own hobby room, and keep all my model stuff in it. She's also fine with me going to the shows around here and dragging home dozens of kits I couldn't live without, and is fine with me going to nnl with my model buddies. I know she doesn't 'get it', but she never complains about it, and was pretty proud when two of my builds showed up in 'the other mag' after trips to nnl. My non building friends think it's cool, but all say the same thing, they don't have the patience....... -
How much have you spent on a build?
tbill replied to Jantrix's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Probably have $450 into this build, did it before the trailer was reissued, lots of PE and other small aftermarket stuff. -
That came out great. Multi part cabs aren't too bad after you do a few.

Thanks all? Normally, I would have done a build thread, but around the time I was going to start one, the whole PB thing reared its ugly head, so I just went with the under glass. and yes, the moebius directions leave a bit to be desired......., other than that, a very nice kit. -
You're fine, I think we all knew summer would be slow build wise, once the weather changes I'm sure there will be a flood of activity from everyone.

finished this up yesterday for the most part, still needs a few final touches, but I will do those after the trailer is built. Colors are GM subterranean earth and sea grass metallic.
