  1. did a trade with b-body fan, great trade, great communication, will trade anytime.thanks Mike.
  2. great looking builds, you're gonna fit right in here.
  3. thanks. can't wait untill spring, it's 'packed away' for it's winter nap....
  4. for what it is worth, i have found that when spraying gloss coat, the initial coat [as in just sprayed] looks glossy, but as it dries, it 'flattens out', but after 4 or so coats, it starts to have a shine to it. again, just my experience. i also usually put 4-7 coats of clear on, then wet sand it, and polish it.
  5. cool pic. i have a couple hundred 1/18 in my attic............sadly, no where to display them anymore, i had to surrender the livingroom back to the wife about 10 years ago....
  6. oddly enough, they have a few different clear coats. there is the dull coat you posted in 2 versions [different labels], then for the glossy stuff that is labeled like you posted, along with 'wet look' clear, 'ultra gloss' clear, and i think one more.
  7. welcome Mike, i too suffer in NY, lol. great place to be [here], lots of great folks, and lots of great info. i am just outside of syracuse.
  8. well, it's been quite a year. i haven't worked on a rig kit since around march/april when i finished off the chevy titan/car hauler project. had a busy summer doing outdoor stuff, dealing with family issues, and here and there got building some 1/25 cars, and started a 1/12 vette tribute build, and just haven't been on-line as much as usual. but now with winter coming on, family matters situated, and the big rig build off approaching, it's gonna be rig building time, and due to impending crappy weather, more time here [lol]. still have a few projects to wrap up, then it's rig time, along with 2 projects for NNL East. i really used to hate winter, but now kind of look forward to it due to the uninterrupted build time [other than the occasional snow removal, and the day job, haha], so here is to build time, back to big rigs, and a little more time talking with all you great folks here, you're all a great inspiration. happy building
  9. well, that explains my spelling then, been a GM wrench for almost 30 years now, lol.
  10. oh yeah! on board for this one!
  11. Jeff, lol, your pic's are great, but seeing it 'in person' is another thing. just like Kurt M's dump truck, ya, the pic's are great, but seeing it in person just blows ya away.
