  5. wow, just wow........amazing build David, just amazing! now, how does a guy go about getting a set of those wheels? as a side note, my boss has a 67 327 vette in Marlboro maroon I want to eventually replicate for him and those wheels would be perfect, then I would just need to make some white wall tires..........
  6. that bang you heard was my jaw hitting the floor! sweeeeet!
  7. Jim, outstanding work on this project! just amazing work. best wishes to you and wife, hope all goes well, and you get good news.
  8. I have the popcorn popping, looking forward to seeing you pull this together, can't wait to see this progress. as mentioned, a few updates a day will be good
  9. I like it! nice build
  10. .......tease............ can't wait man!
  11. glad you got it settled, looks good so far can't wait to see the body in color, sounds dynamite!
  12. looking good so far, the 1:1 looks great as well. I used to have a 71 SS [black on black, 270hp 350, 4 spd, console delete, tall spoiler], so have a couple of these kits to eventually replicate that car, just need to figure out how to change the nose to a straight bumper configuration. will be following this for sure.
  13. thanks all, much appreciated number one is officially done, mirrors are on. took a few more pic's to try to capture the color and shine, .........now, on to the other 5...........lol........stay tuned........
  14. cool, glad you got it sorted out.
  15. pic's are a little dark, but it's snowing out, so no natural light pic's yet.
  16. thanks again guys, it sure is a trip doing these things well, other than the outside rearview mirrors, number 1 is done
  17. thanks guys look for new pic's tomorrow as I hope to finish this one up.
  18. Steve, I found on mine that after I test fit it with the interior, firewall and radiator support, it all sat pretty good motor-wise. assuming you have the motor seated fully in the 'mounts', I had a couple of mine want to lift up on one side for some reason, where the others sat nice and 'flat'.
  19. I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for this to get done, lol. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but you are partly responsible for it taking me so long on my little project [ ok, it was really inspiration after watching all you've done, you pushed me to add a little more detail to things, for that, I say thanks]. keep at it man, love seeing the updates
  20. teaser pic's......finish line is close for one..... should have pic's of this one completed at some point tomorrow, and hopefully some progress pic's of another one
  21. Joe, looks great buddy, really looking forward to seeing this beauty complete.
  22. as you can see, i paint everything half the time not real sure why that ended up like it did, but all areas that are seen, are in fact covered.
  23. yes, BMF is awesome, cuts with just the weight of the blade, and leaves no residue. from what I see of what you've done so far with your current product, BMF will be a breeze for you to work with and you'll love it.
  24. lol, you and me both got this one in the final stages, chassis and interior are now mated, glass is in etc.. the mirrors are painted, and I painted the lower tail section and rear spoiler this evening. with luck, this car will be done by weekends end [ got bowling tomorrow night, and have to work Saturday, so sunday will be the day I hope]. I get this one wrapped up and the others will go together quicker I hope as this was the test car to see how everything was going to mate up. look for some pic's of a complete car sunday
