  1. I took it like this, this is an old model, was in pieces, almost threw it out. made a back panel for it because when I first got it 20 years ago, no one made a day cab rear panel for it. that's my take on it anyway.
  2. i love the looks of that kit! nice score.
  3. overall look, spectacular, trash bag use, pure genius!! awesome looking set up, nice job.
  4. that looks fantastic, great job! you really nailed it, great work.
  5. that looks great! don't be afraid to let the paint fly, if it comes out bad, or not to your liking, you can remove it fairly easily and try again. I have re-done a few paint jobs, once you get it figured out, the sky is the limit. great build!
  6. the slot cars at 'my location' didn't seem to be moving much, I know they had the Camaro, a ford [not sure which one, sunliner/styliner? not a ford guy] I think 57 chevy and maybe a few others, if anyone is interested, I could make a trip there this weekend and maybe pick up a few if still there. lemme know via pm and I will see what's there.
  7. over the last few days, resin wheels for a rig project I am doing, a first place trophy at a show for my 71 cuda, decals in the mail from model truckin, and the best thing so far............. an 8lb 6oz grandson last night!!!! been a fabulous last few days
  8. great looking set up, excellent work on everything!
  9. hehe, so it seems I am not alone in my fuel tank 'frustration' and ya, motivation/indecision can be a major player at times, usually when I finish a kit, I look at what I have to see what's going to be next, and will waste 2 hours pulling stuff out, looking it over, then putting it back and wonder what it is I want to build next. then once I decide what to build, I wonder to myself, do it like box art, or lose my mind trying to come up with a color scheme?? thank goodness there is no time limit
  10. great bunch of kits Pavel, and a bargain as well
  11. Mike, I don't mind windows, I put them in with future floor polish usually [unless they are a 'complete' unit, like on the mack r] and ya, I don't get the chrome engine parts either, although sometimes I will leave them chrome.
  12. buddy at work went to another store, he picked me up another impala, another challenger and a couple of 71 mustangs. David, the raminator is 1/24th scale.
  13. you have a cool looking set up going there, I really like it and ya, the tin foil works pretty good for trailer sides, although it can tough to get all the wrinkles out. garage is looking fabulous, keep up the good work
  14. this, this is my favorite, outstanding!!
  15. that is pretty much how all of them are [amt kits], it's all old tooling, but I suppose you get used to it after a few builds.
  16. Terry, I started it because I had just finished sanding the putty on a set of tanks for a freightliner, and it got me to thinking...........haha. and yes, the mirrors run a close second to the tanks for me
  17. this is out of control cool! that is slick!!
  18. what's your least favorite part of building these things? for me, it's fuel tanks it never fails, if they are chrome, the plating is perfect, but I have to ruin it because I have to smooth the seams. the un-plated ones are just as bad seam-wise though, so it's what seems like tons of putty/sand/putty/sand repeat until happy with the look. it's my least favorite part of building, but I am usually pleased with the results. just seems like a lot of work for something almost no one notices, lol. so what's your least favorite part?
  19. that is a fantastic build!
  20. went yesterday and ended up with this lot, shoulda got a few more midgets and another impala......
  21. got this in the mail yesterday, I noticed this kit has Alcoa's and round tanks only.
  22. last pic. half green cab/hood, white road boss.......just built one, recognize that hood anywhere, lol.
