  1. great looking set up, excellent work on everything!
  2. hehe, so it seems I am not alone in my fuel tank 'frustration' and ya, motivation/indecision can be a major player at times, usually when I finish a kit, I look at what I have to see what's going to be next, and will waste 2 hours pulling stuff out, looking it over, then putting it back and wonder what it is I want to build next. then once I decide what to build, I wonder to myself, do it like box art, or lose my mind trying to come up with a color scheme?? thank goodness there is no time limit
  3. great bunch of kits Pavel, and a bargain as well
  4. Mike, I don't mind windows, I put them in with future floor polish usually [unless they are a 'complete' unit, like on the mack r] and ya, I don't get the chrome engine parts either, although sometimes I will leave them chrome.
  5. buddy at work went to another store, he picked me up another impala, another challenger and a couple of 71 mustangs. David, the raminator is 1/24th scale.
  6. you have a cool looking set up going there, I really like it and ya, the tin foil works pretty good for trailer sides, although it can tough to get all the wrinkles out. garage is looking fabulous, keep up the good work
  7. this, this is my favorite, outstanding!!
  8. that is pretty much how all of them are [amt kits], it's all old tooling, but I suppose you get used to it after a few builds.
  9. Terry, I started it because I had just finished sanding the putty on a set of tanks for a freightliner, and it got me to thinking...........haha. and yes, the mirrors run a close second to the tanks for me
  10. this is out of control cool! that is slick!!
  11. what's your least favorite part of building these things? for me, it's fuel tanks it never fails, if they are chrome, the plating is perfect, but I have to ruin it because I have to smooth the seams. the un-plated ones are just as bad seam-wise though, so it's what seems like tons of putty/sand/putty/sand repeat until happy with the look. it's my least favorite part of building, but I am usually pleased with the results. just seems like a lot of work for something almost no one notices, lol. so what's your least favorite part?
  12. that is a fantastic build!
  13. went yesterday and ended up with this lot, shoulda got a few more midgets and another impala......
  14. got this in the mail yesterday, I noticed this kit has Alcoa's and round tanks only.
  15. last pic. half green cab/hood, white road boss.......just built one, recognize that hood anywhere, lol.
  16. actually, the italeri kit with the crane may work as well.
  17. amt/ertl mack R model kit, a peerless/roadrunner logging trailer kit, and a few aftermarket parts will get you where you need to be.
  18. you know, if you based all the prices on those kits per the bay, the guy is pretty well on the money for that auction. sure, no money to be made re-selling them, but close to what the over all average for those kits is [as much as I hate to say it]
  19. this is going to be a cool build, i can't wait to see it done
  20. actual words out of my mouth when I saw the first picture......oh wow! great looking rig!
  21. love it! only missing one thing,...........cab/hood needs some weathering to match the rest of the truck/trailer. looks great.
  22. Sean, great score. that's on my list of must haves as well.....
  23. Clayton, looking good man, keep at it. Jeff, great looking weathering, and thanks for the tips. wife thought I was nuts taking her nail files and tweezers, stealing her hair spray may put her over the edge......
  24. 3rd pic of the cabs, looks to be a white/freightliner SD [day cab, single drive] last pic, brown and white is chevy titan. second pic, rear cab looks like KW K123, front right looks like white/freightliner DD cab. 4th pic looks like more W/F cabs. hope this helps some.
