Looking good! I remember watching all those come together, great to see them again. I’m not gonna lie though, that ‘not orange’ rig looks out of place?

Autocar Dump Truck Isolation Build
tbill replied to Oldmopars's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Boy, you really nailed the look! What a fantastic looking build. If I may add one suggestion, a little dust on the windshield with some wiper streaks would totally sell this as a real truck. -

Thanks guys , much appreciated. Jim, the ERB decals are from the kit, the thermoking decals are Jerry Reeter items. the caution stripes are Line-o-tape and are actually prismatic. -

The chrome on some of these older kits is pretty bad, atleast some of the ones I’ve built. But as you say, thank goodness for the chrome pens. its always a good feeling when the parts pile is almost gone , lol. -

What’s your most and least favourite task?
tbill replied to NOBLNG's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Most, painting bodies and figuring out color combinations. Least, building the fuel tanks for big rigs. Trying to get all the seams smooth can be a real challenge. -

White parts of the trailer are painted, will mask and do the aluminum bits tomorrow. Trailer chassis is built and all the rest of the small bits are ready for primer. Once the trailer is built/done, I’ll get back to the rig itself. -
