  1. I do like that a lot !
  2. I dunno, we have three ‘local’ shows around me , they always draw a big crowd of vendors and contest entries, and then you go to NNL East and it’s 10 times the local draw. Dead/dying hobby? I think not, in a lot of ways, I think it’s flourishing, lots of great aftermarket products, lots of new subject matter, and places like this and face book are getting like minded people together. And let’s face it, there are also a lot of people out there that build, but don’t go to shows or partake of online forums and face book. It’s alive and kicking......
  3. Nice score! I’ve been lucky enough to get two of them in the past couple of years for cheap as well.
  4. You’re gonna want to make this, trust me.....
  5. Great colors, looks fantastic !
  6. Wrap your a** in fiberglass ! love it!
  7. Now that is funny, I don’t care who ya are, hahaha.....
  8. Very nice! Might as well plan ahead for another section , these things tend to get out of hand faster than we think...
  9. David, I will start experimenting more with the camera line of sight, and maybe some lighting somehow.... I’ve got a few of the shop help painted up...
  10. Ya, I’m a hermit myself in the fall/winter , only thing other than work that gets me out of the house is model shows and trips to the lhs/ hobby lobby to get supplies . Summer time gets me on the golf course...
  11. Yes, it does really transform the project. I wish I possessed your photography skills, because seeing it ‘live’ is a totally different experience. The pics of your diorama really bring yours to life, you capture the depth and feel of the whole piece.
  12. Thanks David. I had to load it up with vehicles to see how it was looking, got some people built that need painting yet, but wanted to put them around the place to get a feel, so far, I like it?
  13. The prices on these kits is staggering .....so glad I got them for normal retail when I got them.....
  14. It would be interesting to see what ‘old cars’ are popular 50 years from now , but that would make me 100, so I probably won’t know the answer.
  15. Total bummer, always look forward to this show......
  16. The CF build was done with the AMT freight liner day cab kit and the trailers are the AMT tandem trailer kit , ( decals are from model truckin) the olds convertible is the 72 kit by revell, all of these kits are available currently .
  17. Thanks all. Carl, I appreciate that, thank you so much ! made a bit of progress this evening, we have walls glued into place finally....., should really make some progress this weekend ...
  18. That looks cool, I like the junker idea, keep at it!
  19. Another no progress update, decals are still bugging me.....
  20. MAD all the way, look great and come in many colors for the cap and wires.
  21. To me, other than maybe a tire change out, these are great oob kits to build, revell 69 Camaro 68 charger 69 charger 70 charger 69 nova 70 cuda 62 impala the lindberg 66 chevelle kit. i list these cause I’ve built them in the last couple of years and they all have what I feel is a good level of detail, and you can build a great looking model out of the box if you spend time detail painting. As mentioned, tires might be the only change needed. Just my opinion.
