BRBO. Pete 352 Daycab
tbill replied to Vettegasser's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Looking good, nice progress. -
Thanks guys. Made a back panel for the interior tub, and grabbed a headache rack from the stash and mocked that up. Still debating on colors.....
-
Well, as if I don’t have enough projects going on, I started hacking away on this , seems got nitro’s fleet of squirrels found their way to my place. No ideas on colors yet, but have been wanting to cut one of these up for awhile.

Where to go sell off some of my kits?
tbill replied to Pete J.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Depending on the size of the ‘lot’ of kits you want to liquidate, and how much time/hassle you want to spend, and how much you need to get out of the ‘run of the mill’ kits, maybe contact one of the guys that buy collections. Granted, you won’t get market value, but you can liquidate in one fell swoop, obviously, keep the high end stuff and sell that at your leisure, or hang on to it. Just another avenue to look at. -
Bill, no idea where they originate from, they were ‘extras’ in a kit that I bought , the kit had several other non matching parts in it .

Another one out of the park! Well done , lots of little details going on here, love it! -
I truly enjoy the fact you can build and take excellent photos. I like the fact that you clearly show the build, and then put us ‘in scene’ as it were. now, where is my next installment??

Thanks guys . The upper hood stripe is an odd duck, nothing about it fits properly, not sure what I’m going to do with it, not sure if I should leave it or try to do something different with it......., time will tell I suppose. Over the weekend I got the engine plopped in, and a bit of the cab interior done. -

Looking good Jim!

You sir, have got ‘the touch’, your builds are always super clean and you always pull off the ‘look’, well done !
-
That looks pretty good, engine bay looks realistic, underside looks realistic, I would however do something with the wheels, some paint or black wash on them, they are the only part of the car that doesn’t look ‘right’. Other than that, it looks great.

I know selling here isn’t permitted, but, what are you looking to get for the bunch? I know it isn’t cheap, but if a price is offered, maybe someone will PM you with an acceptable offer?

My work place is a constant merry go round of sickness , I treat it with brake clean and booze, this recipe has not let me down yet. of note , I work in a car dealer, no one can afford to call in sick, so they share the sickness with all of us.....
