Got my postcard the other day, cannot wait! This will be my 4th year, you boys run a tight ship and a great show. To anyone reading this, if you can get there, get there, you will not be disappointed!

53 foot smooth side trailer
tbill replied to tbill's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I saw a set up like that at work awhile ago, that also got me thinking. I’ve also seen the ‘aero’ fairing stuff off the back of trailers , around the door area, those are just too ugly to try to make, haha. -

Mix some Vaseline with some semi gloss black, or flat black and see how it looks on a spoon or something , it’ll give it the greasy look for sure... -

I’m thinking this may get a revell car hauler behind it, need more room for car builds, so I can use the space, lol. -
Well, now that the prostar is done, it’s trailer time. I built one of these to put behind my lonestar, and have built the other refer trailer for my other prostar, both are nice trailers, but for some reason, I like the smooth side better. I’ll be using the roll up door ‘panel’ on this one. It’s going to be a stock looking trailer with ‘my’ logo on it in turquoise to match the truck. I think I’m going to use some 5 hole budds from double take replicas, and I may add the side air ‘foils’ underneath. Stay tuned .....

Holy cow, I love this build ! The milk crate is just over the top, lol. Great job, and as others have mentioned, the mis matched tires and weathering really sell it. -

I prefer to pick them up with tweezers, and then listen to the direction they fly off in, then hunt on the floor for an hour to no avail, then open another kit to get a replacement lens. This is usually followed up a month later by finding said first lense no where near the scene of the crime, lol. I know we all been there......

I like this! Great looking build so far. -
I have found that the newer tool kits have a pretty good ‘friction fit’ if you will, so no need to glue the chassis to the body really.
