  1. Got my postcard the other day, cannot wait! This will be my 4th year, you boys run a tight ship and a great show. To anyone reading this, if you can get there, get there, you will not be disappointed!
  2. I saw a set up like that at work awhile ago, that also got me thinking. I’ve also seen the ‘aero’ fairing stuff off the back of trailers , around the door area, those are just too ugly to try to make, haha.
  3. Mix some Vaseline with some semi gloss black, or flat black and see how it looks on a spoon or something , it’ll give it the greasy look for sure...
  4. I dig it, good looking start. Should be a monster when you’re done?
  5. That is too cool! Awesome work so far, keep at it!
  6. I’m thinking this may get a revell car hauler behind it, need more room for car builds, so I can use the space, lol.
  7. Well, now that the prostar is done, it’s trailer time. I built one of these to put behind my lonestar, and have built the other refer trailer for my other prostar, both are nice trailers, but for some reason, I like the smooth side better. I’ll be using the roll up door ‘panel’ on this one. It’s going to be a stock looking trailer with ‘my’ logo on it in turquoise to match the truck. I think I’m going to use some 5 hole budds from double take replicas, and I may add the side air ‘foils’ underneath. Stay tuned .....
  8. Thanks guys. It’s a little darker in person. I’ll finish off the service lines when the trailer is done. Going to use a 53 foot smooth side with this one.
  9. This was supposed to be for last years build off, but it didn’t make it in time......, not even close, haha. But the rig is done, trailer will be started on soon.
  10. What’s not to like? That’s a sweet ride!
  11. Sharp truck, love the color?
  12. Holy cow, I love this build ! The milk crate is just over the top, lol. Great job, and as others have mentioned, the mis matched tires and weathering really sell it.
  13. Are those batteries or barrels in the back? Cause man, she is bright! Seriously though, that came out great, well done.
  14. Having built one of these trailers, I must say you really took it to the next level. Outstanding build, looks fantastic!
  15. What a cool looking rig! Great job, love the two tone paint .
  16. Second color never happened, but, several months later, the rig is done.....
  17. I prefer to pick them up with tweezers, and then listen to the direction they fly off in, then hunt on the floor for an hour to no avail, then open another kit to get a replacement lens. This is usually followed up a month later by finding said first lense no where near the scene of the crime, lol. I know we all been there......
  18. Great finishing touch! Looks fantastic.
  19. That’s looking fantastic! A plumbing nightmare to boot! Haha. Very well done !
  20. Looks good, nice color green?
  21. I like this! Great looking build so far.
  22. That’s a great kit, I’ve built one, and have a second one about done. Everything fits really well. Only have to be carefull when you actually install the engine/radiator assembly, and care must be taken when trying to get the cab on, the front mounts always need ‘massaging’ to get the cab level.
  23. I have found that the newer tool kits have a pretty good ‘friction fit’ if you will, so no need to glue the chassis to the body really.
