  1. It does sound compelling. I don't know if I'll have time to participate though. However, I'm retiring this summer and will probably have more time than I think!
  2. 60% off one item just today at Michaels. Get a parts kit (they don't have many kits) or a tool, acrylic paint set.
  3. This is really turning out nice Brian!!
  4. As do I. I'm going that route as well when I get started on mine.
  5. Love it! I've got a 56 that's been lingering partially built myself.
  6. I've used the teflon method and it works, and paints. Its been a while but I'll try to dig up pics.
  7. Very nice work!!
  8. Coming along nicely! Expert work.
  9. Nice! I'm really warming to the genre.
  10. The Carl Casper Cosmic Charger kit has a Potvin. I have the kit and its in there. The box calls it a front-mounted supercharger. Spotlight has it for $17.
  11. Sorry Rob, but for the second year in a row I have to change my build. After looking at the work I need to do to get the drivetrain in the Mid-4, I was afraid I'd never get it done. So my new entry is a Cobra. I don't know the year but the suspension looks like an early model. It was a partially built kit I bought. No glass, so that will be a challenge. I'm using the convertible top from a newer kit, and altering it to look like a hard top. Engine will be the four cylinder from an Opel, and I'll be twin-charging it (turbo & blower).
  12. An absolutely stunning project! I am in awe!
  13. Nice looking build! I may have to try those flames myself on my '56 when I get back to it.
  14. Very nice! Sweet paint job!
  15. Nice work!!
  16. I like it. Some folks like the big/littles, and some like the same wheels all around. I think it depends on what the builder is going after.
  17. That's really sweet Bruce!!
  18. Very nice frame work indeed David.
  19. Nice work!!
  20. What color is this? I bought the '50 Olds and was planning on a similar color, Mercedes-Benz Ice Blue.
  21. Very nice work! Well done builds one and all!
  22. I love the entries so far, and that got the juices flowing. Taking this curbside Nissan Mid-4 and adding the straight 6 from the Skyline I put the Vette motor in for the Sleeperball. I'm thinking about loping off a couple of cylinders though and twin-charging it with a supercharger and turbocharger. Word is you can get 300 horse from a streetable 4 cylinder that way, with the 40 MPG. I started to put this together before but the paint wrinkled in spots so it was back to the drawing board. Not a curbside fan anyway.
