Hey Ron, I love the look. Having spent the change to get a quality body, please consider removing the trademark stamping from the chassis. Just tryin' to help out.
I'll do the near term list. '06 Wide-body Camaro for the Cannonball run CBP Alpine A110 1600SC rally racer '55 Jukebox Ford - switching this to EFI instead of the twin Dominators
I finally got the V-12 built and I think it turned out pretty well, except for some minor touching up.
I fabricated the coil covers because I just don't like seeing those coils on top. I'm thinking about covering them with a carbon fiber decal but there are a lot of places where they might not conform to.
I'll be finishing up what little smoothing I have to do on the body and then I'll apply some sealer to keep the red from showing through hopefully.
I added some magnets to hopefully help the hood stay in place. Next pics will hopefully show some color!!
Hey folks. I did a search of the site and the most promising recommendation for creating the type of diamond upholstery in the pic was to use BMF over some wire screening.
Does anyone else have other ideas? Any input would be appreciated, thanks.
This is the interior of a Renault Alpine. The door panels also have it.
Fantastic work! Thanks for sharing some of your secrets! The manhole is very clever. I saw an old post where that was recommended for diamond tuck upholstery.
I have the matte BMF and it does look the part, but I don't think it handles as well. It also doesn't give that brushed look of real trim, so there's still a trade-off. One that I, personally can live with.
