  1. Hey, I wanted to do something like this myself so I did some research this morning. There doesn't seem to be any NHRA specs on the distance between the lights, but there is a product called a Portatree that a lot of tracks are using, and it is 6 feet tall, and the literature says that it is a full-size tree. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/pts-3182led
  2. Very nice build!! Well done!
  3. My wife is very supportive, even when I make the occasional boo-boo as I don't have a dedicated space. She's very good with colors, and offers me tips on color combos and the like. She's also seen me moon over a kit that wasn't in the budget but insists I buy. She's a trooper!
  4. Nice start!
  5. Glad to hear that you're okay Lee. I was in my 40's when I started getting regular physicals and found I was pre-diabetic. I worked hard and now I'm not, at age 60, but I have to keep at it because it will come back on me. Good tips everyone! Let's be vigilant!
  6. Jumping back in with both feet, eh? That's the way to do it!
  7. I love the work on the junker Nathan! So many little things, like the acid spilled from the battery add realism.
  8. One more thing Jim. I was looking again today for another source for a nose, and it seems Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland has a nose as well. I've never bought from him, as the only way to order is by phone but I just might go that route because he also has a quick change rear end I need. He's highly regarded by many. This pic is from a site that has some of his parts displayed but is not his site. Mr. Norm Veber, 410.768.3648
  9. Nice build! True to the genre!
  10. This thread is hilarious! I love your fab work Dennis! That front engine mount is simple, yet awesome! Keep 'er comin'!
  11. Nice collection!!
  12. I've been looking for one myself. I only see a grille on MCG's site. Altered States has one with the grille for $6.00. but they have a $25 min order requirement. I've been thinking about another Austin so maybe I'll just pull the trigger on both! Good luck Jim.
  13. Welcome Joe!!
  14. I agree TĂșlio, very nice prep. I know how much work you put into it because I have the same kit that I never finished. Prefit all subassemblies because I found a lot of ill-fitting parts.
  15. Back at you Jeff! Ditto with zero problems.
  16. Yeah, sweet!!
  17. Definitely different, and looks like a lot of work. Great job!!
  18. Welcome back!! Have fun!
  19. Well done!!
  20. Nice job! Looks great!
  21. For those asking about the centers, I did something similar on my Mustang Boss 429, but it was by accident. I hit them with Spaz Stix, waited a few days and then Testors clear (you're supposed to use an acrylic). The result was better than what I was trying to do!

That's a sweet build Tom! That interior color is spot on, looks like real leather! The stance is sweet as well. Kudos!
  23. That's sweet! The wheels are perfect for it, and the paint is awesome! I've been wanting to do a little two-seater like that myself but never saw a body I liked.
