  1. Looking great!
  2. Awesome build and display!
  3. I use HobbyLinc unless I can find it on Amazon. I do eBay for parts and stuff if I can find a deal from a reputable source. For "really" hard to find stuff I use Spotlight and Model Roundup, but they are on the pricier end.
  4. Great project! Keep'er goin'.
  5. Hey Lou, Pat already started posting his in the workbench forum so have at it. I might do the same but I'm so irregular with my posts so I didn't yet.
  6. Sweet!!
  7. Awesome fab work! Glad you're okay. Hope you can find a worthy replacement for your Stang.
  8. Great job! I'm working on that kit now and you did great in making everything fit so well! Very clean.
  9. Welcome Philippe!
  10. I'd say yes, as long as that style was available when the car was new. I just think they were trying to make sure the big oversized racks weren't used. 8.2 Roof racks are permitted provided they meet the following specification: - They must be of a design available at the time the car was in production - They must be made of metal - They must be no longer or wider than the roof panel - They must have sides no higher than 45 cm (18 inches) - The roof rack and spare wheels must not be covered
  11. Well done! I got one in a parts bundle but it was missing the wheel wells. I did mine in white, but I must admit that yours looks terrific in aluminum! The decals are a nice add!
  12. A quick update on the Tiger. Well we finally got the engine back from the speed shop. Had the heads opened up to get the compression ratio down to 8.0:1 so that it will run on that bad Mongolian fuel. We changed the carb to an Edelbrock small bore 4 barrel to help increase the torque, and went to a high flow water pump. The gang and I threw on a pair of Cobra valve covers we had laying around, along with a set of headers which we had ceramic coated to hold in the heat. Finally we dug up some racing seat frames which we plan to add some padding to.
  13. I have a spare set from the Revell Camaro kit that I have extras of. These aren't as deep as the pic you show, but it is possible to take the centers out and glue them into deep rims. Also, I don't have the wheel backs.
  14. Thanks Mark. I used to play around with TurboCad years back but never really got serious.
  15. These kinds of builds are the reason why we need regulation of model cars. This kind of unchecked imagination can be detrimental to mental health. ...but I love it!!
  16. I used to be 5'-11", now I'm 5'-10" at age 62. I have to look up to my daughter now! But that's okay too.
  17. Good way to keep track of your build Pat. Nice start.
  18. My wife's been pushing me to get into 3D drawing but it seems a little daunting. Did you design those from scratch?
  19. I've been retired since this past August. I too got tired of the corporate B.S. and all the mergers and org changes, and luckily I didn't have to take it anymore. I find myself doing more research, and learning about cars and models than actually building them. Part of it is that my daughters pet occupies my "one day" workshop, and I tire of having to set up and take down every night. I do spend more time on my models than before, but I get up every week day and after breakfast and newspaper (sic), I go to the gym. Then the honey do list. I have an inventory of my kits, and a build sheet for most of them outlining my build ideas for each one. I don't always stick to the original plan though.
  20. Very nice work, no matter the scale!
  21. I agree! I don't use the tagging either, so maybe it needs to be emphasized.
