  1. What a cool story and gift. There aren't really words to describe when you give an old timer a model of something that really means something to them like that. I also haven't seen many models (diecast or not) being built with a service bed on them. Great work and tribute Riley.
  2. First off, your build looks really good so far. That engine looks awesome Mike!! Secondly.....................this has GOT to be the BEST looking Belvedere I've ever seen. Almost makes me want to build one myself!
  3. I've got a couple of different colors which won't be anything that these cars came with from the factory. It won't be anything like factory stock or anything like that but I can guarantee you that it's not going to turn into a custom build. That's for dang sure.
  4. It's cool to see something that started off like this turn out that nice. Good stuff.
  5. This looks interesting....... Looking forward to more Pat.
  6. Man thanks Rich. I appreciate that. I've got nuthin' but time on this one as it'll take me a little bit to get to that point.
  7. Good lookin' Camaro Jeremy.
  8. LOL! It's alright Rich.....I'll get another fret of this stuff if I need it. I'll spend a little money on this thing but by large I'll be using almost all of the original parts.
  9. LOL. You look like you might've got it all there Anthony. Say good bye to the paint fellas. Currently in a bath of Dot 3 Brake Fluid: and I just acquired this yesterday....
  10. Good color choice. Turned out good.
  11. I aint no where near this level. Intense stuff JC.
  12. That'd be good to watch come together.
  13. Here's your 4 x 4 version right here:
  14. I saw that one as I'm learning a lot about this kit. It also got released as a drag version....
  15. Most excellent detail and superb build!! Noticed the refineries in the background. Common sight around these parts here.
  16. Nice clean build. I'd be a little leary of a 4WD with Hillborn Fuel Injection in dusty / dirty conditions but it looks good.
  17. Verrrrrrrrrry interesting and awesome execution!!!! Bravo from this side of the house.
  18. Thanks for the info Dave. I've already got a resin Holley carburetor to take the "blobs" place.
  19. No problem at all Rich. I kinda like the background info chatter in here. It's good and entertaining info to read. I'm looking forward to seeing the pics of what you did with the front pan.
  20. LOL. I hear ya there Rich. Don't get me wrong I do love an all out-double throw down build now.....but I do hear ya talkin' pal.
  21. Thanks Ray, Rich and A.C. I have to agree with both of you guys (Rich and A.C.) . This being my first ever car model kit which drew my interest to automotive subjects waaaaaaay back when, I felt I had to go back to it and do it a little better justice. The build just called out to me from the display case. To tell you the truth though I don't see myself going "all out" like I feel I have on some of my past builds because quite frankly I just want a relaxing but good turnout on the build. We'll see.
  22. Thanks Dan. Hopefully I can make something good out of this.
  23. Hang in there Harry. Don't forget , if you haven't already, to get a family member involved as this process is pretty stressful and takes a lot of energy as well as perseverance . Powers of attorneys / or permission from you to the involved agencies help here in order for trusted family members to have access to your information and to act on your behalf are a plus. Trust me, you want the help good buddy. My wife's long term disability and all the expenses we've had in the past year have been made a lot easier when I got involved as she just didn't have the patience or the energy to expend on all of this junk for a long while.
