  1. Thanks Tim! My dogs............................commonly referred to as "idiot 1" and "idiot 2" do ANYTHING but sleep soundly. What I'd give for 7+ hours of uninterrupted sleep.........Zzz.. Idiot 1 (aka Sweet Pea) and Idiot 2 (aka Bear) next to my son Joseph
  2. Man I hate that when that happens. That's a good lookin' C4 though and looks to be worth the effort. I also hear you on the benchtime. My wife recently started using the "spare room", which is where my bench is , for Santa's freekin' work shop and politely told me that I could have my room back next week. What...............ever! I made sure that she understood that my half of that room was to remain untouched. lol
  3. I agree with this to a point. I just recently dove into car modeling and build nothing but military stuff and have actually tried a really light application of wash/ tint not to make 'em look dirty but to give a slight shadow effect or to bring out detail in a subtle way. But then again you did say "some of the techniques".
  4. Note to self...."Use Citadel washes!" Thanks for that Matt and Steve!
  5. I guess I need to get a set of PE wire looms.......................I KNEW I was forgetting something.....................
  6. 'Preciate it Lee! Well I got up this morning and completed the distributor build up with plug wires and boots. It's my first attempt at this I'll rate it a "so-so" job. With more practice I should get better at it though. Thanks to freakshow12 (aka Fred) for showing me the technique. The focus is now turned to how I'm going to contort these wires to have a natural "droop" to them rather than looking like bent up wire........
  7. That airbrush looks like it would be alot of fun! Will be watching this build.
  8. That interior looks great Tom. I like the detail and the carpet!
  9. Thanks Tim! I'm up all hours of the night man. BTW you want a couple of dogs? You too can be up that late or early! lol
  10. Man that looks great Steve!
  11. Looks great Bill! Awesome detail!
  12. Ok fellas. I think I'm going to call the dash officially done. I was going to add a key lock switch to the R/H side of the column but decided that enough was enough here. I did install a turn signal switch lever. I don't have a clear enough reference to see whether its chrome or black but it's black for now. I can change it as I find references. I managed to paint the spark plug wire boots at the distributor side this morning. Half of my time at the bench was taken up by photography. You know the routine: getting that right angle, the right lighting, making sure the camera is set up right, etc! I must take about 10-15 shots to get the ones I have here! lol To recap: Here's what I started with: (all the while I have to keep in mind my age and experience level at the time here) and here's where we are now: I wished I had taken more "before" pics. Will do better next time.
  13. I like that LS motor.............................ALOT!!!!!
  14. Good grief!!!! This is beyond words! I think I'll pack up my plastic stuff and go home now.............
  15. Thanks Dan! Benchtime is slowed during the week to .5 hr - 1.0 hr. (written in true flag time form! lol) in the morning before work. Starting on Friday morning I usually have between 3.0 hr - 4.0 hr per morning. I should have a little something in the morning though.
  16. Thanks Tim. Not sure what gauge wire it is but it's this stuff:
  17. Great engineering and fabrication!
  18. Did some work to the steering wheel and column this morning but still have a small amount of touch up to do. Will post pics of that tomorrow when I'm finished with it. It was a little tricky painting it and I had to work with what I had. Anyways I moved on to the ignition wires for a change of pace. Should have the distributor side of the wires done tomorrow morning and hope to have the boots all painted up. ( It was a shame I couldn't find any black wire right now but I'll work with what I have). Got two more to go but here's some progress anyways:
  19. Man this is really turning into quite the project Ira! Lookin' great!
  20. That's CLEAN!!!!
  21. Thanks Lee! Will be hitting the bench tomorrow morning........thank God!
  22. Been missin' the progress on this one there Fred!
  23. Lookin' good so far Pat. Great job on the wheels!
  24. Got it Dan. Got the seat belts and a cowl hood for my 90 Mustang LX too. Thanks man. I'll sniff around on the site for some buckles.
