  1. I've never seen a Firebird done up like this with the plain wheels and all but I can tell you that I do like it very much. Definitely different from the norm but again, you've made this one look great!!!
  2. Thanks Kevin. Hopefully I can pull all of this together. I've been haggling over the tires for the last couple of weeks and after LOTS of research, going through photo shots and doing ALOT of measuring and head scratching I've come up with a new set of slicks that I'm going to use for this thing. Additionally I was concerned with how the front ride height was going to be but once I test fitted everything into place...…….it pretty much fell into place. I might go just a tad lower in the front but I'm pretty happy that I don't have to do much here as this has been quite the gaggle in the way of mods on this car. This is the way this car is going to look now and it seems like it's a lot closer to the reference photos that I have of this car. The wheels have been a source of much contemplation and decision making as well but I finally found a set that I will be happy with. Just gotta strip the chrome off of the front wheels and apply either Alclad or Molotow. I'll play around with both and see which one looks better. For now, however, this is progress for me so I can move forward with this thing. Reference shot: Updated parts and stance-I'll be bringing the rear tires in a tad/ wee bit as well. This is all a FAR cry from the way I had it:
  3. I simply cannot get over all of this great aluminum work that you're doing here Tim!! Simply beautiful work.
  4. Clean build Bob!
  5. That paint is just fabulous and that's not even counting the detail work. You really turned out quite the masterpiece here Bill.
  6. Turned out great! Thumbs up all the way here!
  7. Terrific lookin' Willys. Don't see the panel vans being built much so this is a good change up.
  8. I've gotta say.....this is one car that I've never seen before. Very clean work on this car.
  9. That reminds me....I need to post some stuff up. Looking forward to more here Francis.
  10. Lookin' good so far Kevin. You could drill out those instrument dials and come in from the back side with blank sheets of styrene and use decals for the actual gauges. A drop of clear over the gauges after installing will look great. Here's what I did on my Challenger:
  11. Wheels look spectacular just like the rest of this build. This is electric man!
  12. It certainly looks like you've got some solid time invested with these. 60 hours on the bodies alone.....WOW! No wonder these look good.
  13. Color and stance are perfect and has a good aggressive look to it.
  14. This is pure torture watching you make your own wheels. I'm gonna have to get the inside scoop on this. lol
  15. Thanks Kevin. I appreciate you dropping in and commenting dude.
  16. Thanks Kevin. The Arado was just one of those kits that's not quite engineered right in regards to the nose section. It takes a lot of work to blend it all in. I almost quit doing aircraft entirely because of it. Good to see you back around here bud.
  17. These old cars like this can drive a guy completely nuts when it comes to bare metal foil. Great work on this one Ray.
  18. This looks like you spent a long time working with it. Your hard work paid off as the results are nothing short of superb.
  19. Good lookin' Merc Phil. You built and painted that one very well.
  20. Cleanly built Impala. Very good work.
  21. Now that's a well built model right there and topped off with some high class photography. Very good sir.
  22. Excellent build. Wow!
  23. I like the way it all came together. Sharp ride.
  24. Good to see this thread revived. I didn't pay attention to the dates in the thread at first but when I saw Harry's post I did a double take.
