  1. Thanks Mark, Dave and Casey. Never having had a Showboat issue I had no idea what the axle looked like. I didn't notice the straight axle in the pictures that showed the re issues content. Looks like I'll have to pick up one of the Showboat issues.
  2. Do the instructions from this release show how the straight axle is used? Drastic Plastic instructions page doesn't show the earlier Showboat release. I've been told it should be adaptable to the 49 Ford.
  3. This was include in a purchase I made of some original AMT 32 Ford boxes, decals and instructions. It is approximately 4 X 6 1/2 Anyone ever see this type of card in any of the other early Trophy kits such as the 25 T, 32 roadsters , 40 Fords or early annual kits. In all my searches on that auction sight for AMT 32 and 40 Fords kits, decals or parts , none of these ever showed up in any pictures or descriptions of what was up for auction, not even in the background. There are more pics of the boxes and contents on page 772 on the "What Did You Get Today" thread.
  4. Your detailing is amazing. I had a 67 Cougar when in HS in 71. Base Cougar , 289 2 barrel with 3 speed. Changed it out to a 4 speed. Quick for what it was. Of all the cars that I've owned that Cougar ( sold it buy the Duster) and my 73 340 4 speed Duster were my favorites
  5. Great looking 32. It makes mine that I'm building in a similar theme as if a 10 year old is working on it. Did you do a build thread ? Would like to see or know how you did the roll and pleat inserts Beautiful model.
  6. I remember the Monogram cards and have a couple of them around here somewhere. I have never seen one of these early AMT cards though. Even in all my searches on that auction site for AMT 32 Fords has one of these shown up. Maybe I need to start a new thread on it to see if anyone can offer more info on them.
  7. Once I get it flat again I'll scan it and re post it in case anyone wants a copy of it. I'm no expert on AMT kits but I've never seen one of these before. I wonder if the roadster kits had similar cards.
  8. I actually received these in the mail yesterday so technically I didn't get them today.. The boxes are in good to very good condition. The 32 sport roadster box has some writing on one end panel. Original decals are in near mint condition. Instructions have very small tears at the folds but no paint stains or writing on them. Bonus was this postcard. I need to put it under a stack of books to flatten it out. It is just a touch to wide to fit in the box bottom. Slight water stain on the front and back. Notice the trophy in the lower left hand corner. Another bonus was the dual spare fender assembly along with the mounts, chrome rims, hubcaps and original "No Name" tires.
  9. Mystery solved. Thanks to Casey for pointing me in the right direction regarding Lindberg. These decals were from a 1960 Lindberg release of a motorized 32 Roadster. The kit #was 612M-198 I again apologize for the misinformation in my title of this thread by assuming these were an AMT decal
  10. Casey, I never thought of Lindberg. I assumed it was for an AMT kit. The Drastic Plastic Fotki page that has the Gooche decals just states 32ford underneath its picture. When I sent an email to Gooche I asked if it was an original for a 32 Ford kit or something they may have composed. Never thought to ask if it was from an AMT or Lindberg kit. Billy Gooche who has passed away may have known but his daughter may not be aware of what kit it came from. Sorry to put everyone on a wild goose chase on this. I am now trying to research early Lindberg kits and see if I can find box art or info in an early catalog
  11. I like it ! Great color combination and decal/lettering .
  12. Received this email from Gooche Decals yesterday about the "MYSTERY" AMT 32 Ford decals. "It is right from the kit. I don't alter them for accuracy of restoring a kit. I believe it's from the original 32 Ford Roadster" I did place an order for 6 different decal sheets, can't wait to get them and get back to building again..
  13. Of the actors that were credited in appearing in all 158 episodes only Dick Van Dyke and Larry Matthews (Richie Petrie ) are still living. Carl Reiner made over 30 appearances and is still with us at age 95. Dick Van Dye turned 92 last month. RIP Jerry
  14. Hard to believe it has been over three years since I updated this build. I decided to get back on it after clearing my work area and got all the parts together. Here's how it sits as of today. After two failed attempts of modifying a firewall I'm getting close with this one. I didn't bother to post the mock up pictures I just took. After looking at them I could see I need to trim the firewall some more to get the front of the body down a little more. I'll get the firewall reworked and hopefully I can shoot some primer on it and the hood on Tuesday.I do my painting outdoors and it's supposed to go into the 50's after days of just reaching 30 degrees. I also still need to modify the headlight bar . I want to get this one done before I get to deep into another project. I've put away my Aurora T Jets for awhile so it's back to building models again.
  15. Thanks everyone for your input. The paid account seems the way to go.
  16. Same problem here with Photobucket. Took forever to load and "lost" pictures I loaded.
  17. Looks like their ad copy checker made an error Kit #1201 61 Ford station wagon on the first page sure looks like a 60 to me.
  18. Wanted to find out how satisfied you are with you Fotki account. Any advantages of the Premium versus free account. I'll probably only be loading about 500 to 800 pictures Can you do sub folders with a free account Thanks
  19. Forgot to add that they need to tool up a Hydramatic transmission and a B& M shifter for it.Most of the Jr Stock sedan delivery's that ran in the automatic classes used them until the NHRA outlawed them. The kit bashing possibilities with the Revell 56 & 57 Chevy sedans would be a no brainer. The Yoo Hoo Too would be the perfect car for Revell to do the tooling research on. Wayne Jesel built it to recreate his original car. There is more of he story about the build on his Facebook page.
  20. Good point about the decals perhaps being a composite. I'll have to send them an email and inquire about that.
  21. Mike, the decals I posted are different from kit # 132. I thought the same as you did but the decal I posted has the numbers as 71 A/M not as 17 A/M. They also have different graphics than the ones from kit # 132 The decal sheet I originally posted isrnot an original .It is reproduced by Gooche Decals and was taken from the Drastic Plastics Fotki page so I do not have the back view of them Here are the decals from kit # 132
  22. Trying to find out the kit number for these decals which are supposed to be for an AMT 32 Ford. Not sure if they were for a coupe, roadster or ? Thanks in advance
