As further proof of the Gundam trend Buckeye Scale Auto club will add a Gundam class to their 2020 Buckeye Classic model show. There will be two classes divided by sizes,large and small. This should be interesting.

God speed Gary. He was a a regular attendee at our annual NNL Nationals in Toledo for many years to the point of sticking around after the shows closed late at night while we planned our next show themes. I vividly remember talking to him at the start of NNL 10 and him asking me if this was " the swan song" for the NNL meaning our last national show. He did our common hobby and uncommon service by keeping us engaged at a time when interest was waining. He helped us all and will be missed.

Here's a tip from an old guy with zero computer skills. I would measure the original image with the cheap digital caliper I bought from Harbor Freight For less than $ 10.00 then measure the opening where the images needs to fit. Dividing one number by the other will give a percentage of either reduction or enlargement needed for correct fit. Then I take it to the UPS store and have them print it. Another tip if you're using them to print your images and you need multiples of your image like labels for fermented adult beverage cases or license plates just tell them to print as many images per sheet as possible. That way you will have multiple images to work with or share.

Rob, In response to your "glass half full " saying, Neil Armstrong was known to have added his own twist to that by stating that " an engineer knows that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be".

Rick, did you color coat the interior you were flocking in a color close to the color of flocking material you were using? I would think there might be thin spots that would show through otherwise.

I built this kit long ago from the original redish plastic release. Looking for a different twist for power I swapped in an AMT mid engine subfame with a Chevy 454 with a tunnel ram and 2 four barrels. I put luggage under the hood and displayed with the hood open.

Welcome back Thomasz. We share a great hobby don't we? I can't think of a better time than right now to be involved in model building.

not to get too far afield here,but for changing tastes we need to look no farther than the full size versions of the vehicles we choose to build models of. Attend a real car show few decades ago and you might see the big classics like Packard,etc. That generation is dying off and then came a proliferation of tri-five Chevys. A lot those have been replaced now with muscle cars and tuners(those seem to travel in little herds). You may not agree with me totally but think about it for a minute and you can see the trend for yourself. Like it or not our standards and preferences are not necessarily those of another generation. We can accept it or move out of the way. Again this is just my opinion.

Sad state of affairs when so many seem to seek instant self stratification at the expense of others regardless of the effect. The flooding issue is so severe in several parts of the country and I hope you are able to find higher ground or some other viable solution that is practical.
