  1. Busted....color me guilty(still a fun game).My kindle changed what I typed and I didn't notice.
  2. Want to see kids building models ? Mention the word Gundam and watch their interest level change. These are a Huge model kit business and though we my not speak their language they are as interested in these as we are in car modeling. Different generation , different set of interests.
  3. Obviously the gold is a very appropriate color choice for the '62 as that was the golden anniversary year for Chevy. Looking really nice. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Looking nice John.
  5. That may very well be their original intention to sell additional sets so builders can construct garages capable of displaying multiple at once.
  6. Nice combination. I had a friend that owned a four speed big block '60 hardtop with tri power that really hauled at the drag strip on weekends. For one summer he struggled with a mystery of the engine dying at full throttle just before the finish line. He eventually found out the was a slight bump in the track just short of the lights that caused a loose battery post to jump out of it's mounting and kill the ignition. The trailer is outstanding on it's own. I am starting to see more of these appear here on the boards lately. Is there a trend starting ?
  7. Sweet ride!
  8. Do something different with the Austin other than build another gasser. Street rod it,lower it to a gum scrapping stance but no nose in the clouds attitude stuff. There I said it and I feel better.
  9. A couple more suggestions from someone who has done a lot of research and built some of this style racer. I notice the engine is painted and assembled so era typical speed eqt choices are somewhat limited to dual carbs and divided exhaust. If you are willing to remove the cyl head there are some nice options from various kit sources.
  10. Absolutely empties my meager list of superlatives and cancels any personal plans to build a similar vehicle.
  11. Getting there. I suggest some skinnier wheels and tires more in keeping with what are seen at the TROG events. Those wider tires give it too much of a modern street rod rod vibe IMO.
  12. Congrats on finishing a two year plus project. This was fun to follow and comment on. Thanks for sharing
  13. Good luck with your project. Be sure to post your progress photos.
  14. Happy naming day. Today you are both as old as you have ever been as as young as you are ever going to be!
