I just checked the price for the Dumas triple cockpit speedboat on line and it's listed for $ 69.25. That's only one dollar more than the currently available AMT drag team triple kit I saw at a hobby shop in Columbus, Ohio a week ago. -
Thanks Bill. I thought that would be right. I've never seen another one of these anywhere. I plan on a stock body, lowered stance and custom wheels and tires. Now I need to find some 16.42 scale skins and rims;-)

I found an odd scale '48 Chevy model in the lawn and garden section of a local big box store a few years ago. It is a little crude, resin cast of a really hard material, and overall not too bad. For $ 10.00 I decided to bring it home as a future project. The overall model is 12" long and it's obviously an odd scale. Some interweb searching reveals that a real '48 Aerocoupe fastback is about 197" bumper to bumper. So if I divide that 197 by 12 I get an answer of about 14. Does that mean the model is 1/14 scale? No,math never was my strong suite.

Thanks, I don't know zip about antique aircraft and thought it might be scratch built.

Nice work Wolf. Are both models shown kit based?

Just a nice clean traditional Deuce Roadster

Just started reading this thread and am wondering how you clean up those fins on those Navarro heads. They appear very close together and need to be very straight and clean when finished and painted. -
I have the greatest admiration for that level of dedication and craftsmanship. Top shelf stuff!

Nice choice to replicate. I saw the real car run at Indy National Drags way back when I wore a thinner man's clothes. -
Looking cool for true. Do you remember what 18th diecast the wheels and tires came from?

CADDY 57 coe delivery
misterNNL replied to CUSTOMBOY's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I just read through that FB thread again and have an even greater appreciation for the huge amount of work involved. There are a lot of those pix where I see about as much tape as styrene. Several of those would have me seriously wondering what the neck was I thinking. The original inspiration art looks to be based on a mid '50's Olds. Either way looks killer. -

Awesome amount of work in this project. Please let us know what resin body you started with and who made it. Thanks!
