  1. Super slick looking. The only feature I would change is that external exhaust. I'd deep six the pipes and close those hood sides.
  2. Good luck. I have based this same series of kits for more finished models in my collection that any other single kit.
  3. Definitely headed down the right path here. Gonna be a classic rod.
  4. Reminds me of some of the wild Custom cars from the '60's with the "Unitrol " single stick systems. Wonder where that featured car is today?
  5. I believe you're correct.
  6. Remember the stock '37 six was a 216 flat head, not the 235.5" from later years,
  7. We had the 100 th anniversary of Chevrolet as a theme at on of the Toledo NNL Nationals and several examples were on display. One was done quite nicely with an up-top and all in black. I believe the builder used the AMT '25 Ford for the top. I look forward to seeing this one finished.
  8. Great design that includes some of the turbine car styling themes. Works well. Congrats.
  9. If you're looking for constructive comments, the overhead Hood-on photo makes the hood look a little too long. It seems to extend farther forward where it meets the fender tops. Could be correctable with some sanding inside where the hood meets the cowl.
  10. Thanks for posting these stock photos. Very useful stuff.
  11. I see screws in the chassis. Is your body shell made from sheet aluminium?
  12. To be honest I had forgotten about that project until you posted your long stalled build.
  13. You're welcome.
  14. Information appreciated.
  15. The money is to let anyone who remembers that all American paper money bills are each six inches long just how long that airplane model is.
  16. Some drivers in the great depression era added their own bed to regular cars so they could qualify for a windshield sticker allowing them to purchase more gasoline weekly since their vehicle technically was now a truck with the addition of the bed.
  17. The roof swap looks really natural. Nice choice.
  18. Found objects can add tons of interest to our builds as this model illustrates.
  19. Looks like the world is watching my friend. I know I'm tuned in. Somewhere tucked in a box I have a '32 Ford BB truck flat bed truck with a mobile Richardson's root beer stand on it's back that I started when I was 17 and you know how long ago that was(62 years). The truck was a regular feature at our local county fair for decades where I photographed and measured it in the 1950's.
  20. Thanks for posting that. I'm betting most modelers have never seen one with the stock front end in place. I'd give my version more attitude but it's nice to see one in it's original form.
  21. I'd love to see one returned to nearer stock configuration with bumpers in place and corrected wheel wheels. Adjusting the ride height closer to the asphalt and mix in some cool looking wheels and tires wouldn't hurt either. Sounds like I'm one that hears a different drum huh?
  22. My personal thanks for having and enforcing the behavior rules. Nice to be able to enjoy our shared hobby without dealing with the hassles of negativity.
  23. Darn shame. Thanks.
