  1. Nice salty project. I've looked at this same kit with a similar end result in mind.
  2. Isn't it amazing that so many comment about the image issues but almost nothing about the Herculean nine year build time or the incredible realism of the finished model. Masterful work.
  3. A brand new battery will last about 3.5 to 4 hours. After a couple years use that same battery will drop by about one hour. With the in- car charging device that is included with the purchase we start recharging part way to our destination so the battery is at 100% charge when we arrive. I recommend you do two things if you decide to buy this system, first opt for the lifetime warranty and buy at least one spare battery. We always carry a spare wherever we go. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
  4. Yesterday I spotted a really slick '33 Willow coupe coming through an intersection. It was riding high gassed style a sporting a blower through the hood. Car show ready and sounding sweet.
  5. Actually one of the girls in my class in high school drove a brand new '59 Edsel to school some times and it was maybe too different for my blue bowtie tastes. Her dad worked for an area Ford dealer. In the this period only the "rich" kids ever drove to school. We all rode the school bus. Those years I personality the Chevy designs. No glaring or malicious intent in my statement was intended.
  6. Very cleanly done. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Great project, a model to truly be proud of.
  8. For those that don't know that dollar(like all American paper money) is 6" long.
  9. Nice save!
  10. My intended grille inversion would be on the Plymouth. The Edsel's grille was and still is IMO butt ugly.
  11. I have often wondered how that front end would look if the grille was turned down-side-up.?
  12. Jaw dropping work! Thanks for showing them again. The Auburn is one vehicle that I always loved in particular. Any in-process pix available?
  13. I'm surprised as some of Ray's stuff was a little "rough". Very impressive final result nonetheless.
  14. I love a lot of that late '50's " Jet Age" styling. Those were the new cars of my high school days. Like you said those are long gone after six decades.
  15. Impressive work!
  16. I do agree about the awkward looks of the Packard version. The front end has a "buck tooth grin" look IMO.
  17. The one I saw was identical to the black one. The show was In Sidney,Ohio in Shelby County.
  18. Yoh might check out the wonderful world of 3D printing
  19. I have found a Few issues of "Damaged" magazine. Great inspiration to be gleaned here for weathering tech information including what brand and colors are used plus the tools needed. If you're interested in this magazine and see one on the shelf I recommend you snap it up cause they're scarce. It's not model car oriented but pretty useful.
  20. I have personally seen a Packard version of the Hawk. I talked with the gentleman that had owned it since new and he had all the original paperwork documentation for it including the window price and option sticker. The hood was different from the Studebaker Hawks.
  21. No reply then.
  22. Was this a Modelhaus resin kit? Beautifully done !!
  23. I'm tuned in as well.
  24. great project overall. I particularly like the addition of those front wheel well skirts. They add an Art Deco flavor to an already tasty truck.
