  1. Nice job on a vintage kit. The open upper windshield section is a nice detail.
  2. Looking very nice. It's unusual to see a '59 Ford here in any body style.
  3. Beautiful build with outstanding design choices, attention to details and color choices. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with us.
  4. The engine and exhaust noise would be deafening not to mention the heat being generated.
  5. A lot of us of a certain age share your interest in rescuing classic kits Wick. Reading a builder's spec sheet at a current model show reminds me of looking at similar material at a real car show. The lists of resin, photo etched and outside sourced parts on some models is staggering! I have seen builders print a regular book of that information to put with their models. I know builders that will a current kit for it's engine alone and sell the rest for practically nothing. All I can offer is to follow some of the sourcing tips listed here by members. There is a huge pool of helpful members ready and willing to help.
  6. Thanks for posting your very crisp photos. This is a great example of post-war American auto styling that IMHO we don't have enough examples of. I am surely prejudiced towards this type of model having owned a real '48 for a couple decades before gifting it to our oldest grandson. He will be a great conservator. You did a great job with a difficult kit.
  7. Glad you're enjoying building Jay. Trust me when I say that we all learn something new every time we spend time at our work bench.
  8. Looking forward to seeing this one progress.

  14. Our little village has the only theater in our county and all admissions are $ 5.00. Got to support on small single screen theatre within walking distance of our house plus see a good movie. Popcorn is great as well.
  15. A touching memorial to someone that loved their automobile.
  16. After waiting an entire year(Covid) we finally got to see"Quiet Place Part Two. White knuckle suspense just like the original Quiet Place. This has a couple pre-quile scenes at the beginning for those who didn't catch the first one. Very well made and enjoyable to see if you like monster movies. You can the original one on demand if interested.
