  1. Neat project. This looks like the body work was professionally rendered. A lot of early cars with heavy duty frames and healthy engines were converted into service cars following a rear end collision. This is a very classy shop car. Be sure to keep us updated when actual construction begins.
  2. I watched the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still yesterday. I saw the original in 1951 when I was 9 so I do have something for comparison. The remake has a lot of plot holes and unexplained loose ends but only if you've seen the original. Naturally in '51 there was no CGI for special effects so the producers relied heavily on that technology this time around. I personally prefer the original release version. Watch both and decide for yourself.
  3. FYI always keep your light source behind you if possible. Nice WIP here. Thanks for posting.
  4. Love everything 'bout this ride. Can crushin low, and detail rich. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with us.
  5. Understood, just let me know at some point and I'll make a decision then. Thanks for considering it.
  6. I know real bikes exist with these engines and I wonder if they were actually durable considering the massive torque generated. The side mounted style would probably exert a manageable front to be back torque while the other mount style would have a sideways twist to manage.
  7. This Continental is one of my Grail cars. What would it cost to print one for me to build?? Thanks for at least considering this!
  8. Thanks for posting these great photos Tim especially for those who simply can't do it any more. I see a proliferation of long roofs here, shame there are so few kits available.
  9. I custom paint Star Wars figures and use the same craft paints you do with no primer coat. I use whatever the cheapest flat clear I find at our local hardware store and do not have any problems. You could always do some spoon tests to be sure. Good luck.
  10. Well planned and executed. The whole scene looks lived in. I also appreciate your choice of unusual angle for taking the photos. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with us.
  11. Nicely done mashup of those two bodies. I love those big clunky bread sleds.
  12. Great project. The fact that the parts actually exist to build this is very cool. I'll of course be watching closely.
  13. Any day I do not learn something new is somehow less interesting than a day when I actually DO. Today is better for learning what "duff" really is.
  14. My only suggestion would be to unclutter it as the garage sort of disappears in all the vehicles. I guess it could be free beer night ?
  15. Happy birthday to another builder you can still remember growing up in the 1940's.

  16. Excellent shading producing a hyper realistic result.
  17. I have two small suggestions. First you might revisit the legs of the picnic table as is they are too close together looking like a tip over accident waiting to happen. The other detail is the dog's leash. It should droop down not be in an upward arc. Remember to build what you love regardless of what others like.
  18. You'll surely find a lot of help and inspiration here for whatever you enjoy creating.
  19. Every time I take another look at your photos I like your truck more than the last time. Fantastic job.
  20. Beautifully rendered truck. I would love to see a real one done in that color. Those who owned the real ones probably hated having to step over that rear bumper every time they needed to access those doors.
