  1. We are in Myrtle Beach on vacation plus this the 2O th anniversary of Mustang week as well so plenty to see out cruising on North Ocean Blvd on Saturday night. Natural!y a LOT of rumbling Mustangs plus 3C8's ( one each in white, orange and red). Spotted a lowered and patinaed '57 Chevy Long roof with three surf boards on board, a lowered and patinad '65 Ford pickup. There is a group of lifted late model pickups with super deep rims and neon lights inside those shiny chromed rims, some of those lights are rotating clockwise some going the other way. All this in about an hour so this should be car spotters paradise this week. More later for sure.
  2. I love a good dump!
  3. Very cool build of an unusual subject. You literally made a Silk purse from you know what.
  4. Got passed on the interstate today by an orange C8 with a plate that read "UFO DNA".
  5. Good looking station. Thanks for giving us a look at a scale most of us seldom see.
  6. Low,black and fast...love everything about this build!!
  7. These forums will surely supply you with a lot of building inspiration and answers to any questions you may have.
  8. Good luck getting a response from them. I've been trying for sometime with no luck.
  9. I like this look. What is the "white spirit" you use? Alcohol?
  10. Happy "Naming Day" to another kid born in the '40's.

  11. I'm sure you are correct about the car I pointed out being a Lincoln Continental. Absolutely a stunning vehicle and undoubtedly quite rare.
  12. Nice selection of photos. Thanks for posting them. A wide variety of decades of vehicles represented. My personal fave has to be that '40's Cadillac convertible. A guy could spend a whole weekend cleaning bugs off that front bumper and grille.
  13. Pm me your address please.
  14. I am 78 and started building models in high school('50's) just about the time the AMT annual kits were becoming available. I only ever knew one other guy who built model cars. He was a classmate of mine. We both liked and built customs. We knew nothing about real cars so practicality was never a factor. Just lay it on the ground no matter what it took. My real point here is that with that one exception no other of my contemporaries were interested in doing anything creative. All they cared about was drinking, smoking or getting laid. I was the oddball of the group. Now any of them that I do encounter (read that as still alive) pretty much say the same thing..either" I never had the patience for that",or " my hands shake too bad/ or my eyes are too bad". I'm not too sure today's much different really. I would have loved to have had the access to the information and inspiration these forums and the internet can provide today's modelers. This can be a golden age of modeling if we can inspire just one young person to become a better builder then we have done a good thing for the common hobby we all share.
  15. Nice design work. Those fins remind me of some of the design concepts done by Ghia of Italy.
  16. Beautifully planned and executed custom. The Chezoom roof is a natural extension of the GM factory design lines. Thanks for posting your inspired build.
  17. You might consider adding some louvers to the trunk lid to let the tire smoke out!
  18. The drag race fan in my mind makes me wonder if we fiddle with the size and blade pitch on these, could we race them?
  19. Great work here that will surely inspire others to attempt building a belly tanker. I agree that when you've finished these files would be very marketable.
  20. I tried to access that site and got an ad for "The Walking Dead". I hope that isn't a bad omen.
  21. We are headed to the beach on vacation soon so I'll be packing my newly bought plastic detector to help with the search.
  22. One more word" Outstanding "!
