  1. You might consider a very thin white pin stripe at the color division line.
  2. Yep, no VIN numbers for these 572 CID bad boys = you can't buy license plates also=zero street time ?
  3. Your project is looking very interesting. That boom resembles a Weaver 3G unit quite a bit. I'm tuned in for sure.
  4. Wow! I could look at this all day. Great stuff indeed. Thanks for posting such great information?
  5. Very creative and well done. I really like that front clip hung way out front !
  6. Yep....retirement is wonderful stuff. I retired 10 years ago at 68 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. My first license plate after retirement was " NO MORE WRK" and the next was "NO PLAN". We have been married for 57 years and retiring has given us the the freedom to do spur of the moment things like traveling or spend the entire day working on models. Lovin every minute of it.
  7. Outstanding post my friend. The level of design excellence and elegance evident in the early classics shown here is not likely to ever be repeated again. Thank goodness there were people willing and able to expend huge amounts of money to buy them originally and those of adequate means to restore and preserve them for everyone to appreciate them today.
  8. Not too bad for a model car that is 57 years old. Nice catch. Be sure to post any progress here to keep us tuned in.
  9. In Columbus, Ohio today saw a really sweet Rolls Royce sedan on High Street.
  10. I stopped in a cigar shop today inquiring about the possibility of obtaining some cedar wood veneer. The owner said sure and handed me a really nice stack of them. Surely made my day!
  11. Thanks for sharing your process with us. Seeing how it's done may help others to start similar projects.
  12. The term Mohair is a natural fabric made from Angora sheep's wool also referred to as "denim-like wool". It was often used for folding convertible tops prior to the invention of synthetic materials.
  13. Looking very nice. I'm tuned in for sure.
  14. Thanks.I have the rivet decal sheet in my arsenal of stuff.
  15. Well planned and executed.
  16. Is the weld bead and rivet detail done with 3D Decals? If not how was it done please.
  17. Send me the contractor's phone number and I am willing to contact them to see if I can arrange to have the whole dumpster emptied directly into your front yard. Always ready to help out a fellow modeler out ?
  18. I'm sure these are available in 3D as I bought a set at one time along with a Frenzel supercharger for future use.
  19. If you decide to build a Weaver hand crank with boom I have a lot of reference material that I used for building my 1925 wooden cab Ford model TT wrecker a few years ago. PM me your email address if you're interested in seeing pix of the finished model. Good luck with your project.
  20. Thanks for posting that link to some great wrecker conversions. Lots of reference info and inspiration for kit bashers and scratch builders to work from.
