  1. Local Hobby Lobby had the Revel, 66 mustang, fastback, AMT 64 Olds convertible and the AMT Jimmy on clearance. Last Saturday.
  2. Most hobby shops I go into have the end panel showing, as they stack on the shelf better. So maybe the end panel has a better view.

    AMT 25 Pickup

Also rear wheels are different than the smaller T. the frame is quite different as well.
  4. I remember that one, used the dual blower set up from the recently cloned 64 442, and if remember right the frame from the Vending machine show rod. another of his inspiring builds.
  5. Looks like a export locomotive https://kiso-hinoki.jp/en/01akasawa2.html, cool kit.
  6. mine was 40.99, so I picked one up at 40% off.
  7. I had two of the same kit with the same problem. I had not built them, they were in the box like that. Round 2 replaced them.
  8. Evergreen Styrene, has a good book on working with Styrene.
  9. Thanks, probably can't get decals anyway. But if I could it would be close enough for me. as I only build for myself and rarely show them to anyone.
  10. Bought one last week at Hobby Lobby, no warped pieces. Now I just need some Absoroka county Sheriff decals to make a Longmire bronco.
  11. Why not use the Hemi in the AMT Nova station wagon?
  12. 31 Chevy combined with a 67 Chevelle, notice the roof? hood from the Chevelle.
  13. You really should check out the Miniart, GAZ trucks. Much finer detail. That truck you have done looks great. There are some other interesting items in 1/35 scale, that we will never see in 1/25.
  14. I would be interested in the 57 sky liner conversion as well. My late brother was drag racing one in the mid 60's with a Paxton supper charger and cheater slicks on chrome reverse steel wheels. It was his daily driver and I would love to make a replica.
  15. As a vendor 3 years ago I went to 13 Walmarts in Northern Utah. There was a pallet of models in only one of those 13 stores. So it is really hit or miss, on this promotion.
  16. I was just thinking that " multi-billion dollar corporation" is one of the few that stock models, and buy a lot of them from manufactures. So it might help the model companies stay in business by having those bigger sales, in addition to the LHS.
  17. thanks for the reply, I was thinking it might be doable but I have never seen the fastback in person. Now I will have to round up both to try it myself.
  18. Snake, Could the fenders from the 66 coupe, be cut to fit on this body, to make it a more stock looking body? Ron
  19. Thanks to all of you for the help! lots of good ideas. This group is the best one out there.
  20. Does any one have suggestions for off the shelf color matches to the red and white used on a stock 55 Cameo? Looking for Testors, Tamiya, colors. Thanks for the help. I have a old Walmart checkerboard boxed version, that I thought I would finally build.
  21. I was thinking the same thing, but the part I would add is to have another piece of tubing that fits over the bit but inside the other tube. This gives you a perfectly centered hole.
  22. I have two options I use, because yes I do get a lot of models from my wife and daughters. A local hobby shop gift card is a good one. I have pictures of models that I am interested in that I can text them, they can choose from that group what they want to buy. Typically I look for less expensive ones, or tell them that they could use the Hobby Lobby coupon. My LHS, gives my wife the same discount they give me. so it becomes a win win for every one. I would rather get a kit I can mine for parts rather then another shirt, or tie etc.
  23. I think the RC@ version I have at home has the scribe on the bottom of the roof, so at least you could cut it yourself.
  24. If it is like my Badger air eraser, you can use it on plastic, if you use aluminum oxide as your media. Of course you use a low psi. Ron
