Where was Thompson Dragway at in Ohio? -
I've ordered a few parts off ebay for my '68 Roadkill Charger. Even a photoetched horizontal grille for it. Got some deals working with some members for the remaining parts. Except I'm still missing taillight buckets and taillight lenses.

I feel like an idiot now.

Probably covered before, and may be irrelevant but would it be possible to get a "new post" link at the top of the forums page that would encompass all new posts from the day or every couple hours? I find it super useful on VBulletin forums in case I miss a thread I replied on, plus, lets me see the active topics for today. If i'm missing this somewhere or someone has a trick, let me know.

I'm with you. I only get to work on my model cars about 2hrs every other week or so. I live like 50 miles from my friends house where all my stuff is.

This is a very cool idea for a CBP... If I wasnt knee deep in two builds, I'd go get myself the Mustang concept car and build... still might though.

Amazing. I love Mustang II's. Wish I woulda painted my version of this car blue.

I would imagine once Freiburger is able to get it street legal w/ the state of California, they'll do a lot more with it. Which I look forward to. -
Reminds me of a camaro I once saw while in Florida.... will have to dig the picture up...

New hobby detail shop-Xtreme Scale Detail
JTalmage replied to slammedi'am's topic in Links to Aftermarket Suppliers
at least now I can find a place that sells the detailer instead of just advertising it. I can never seem to find any place that sells it. And I get poor results on ebay. -

1. 1993-1996 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC 2. 1985-1986 Ford Mustang GT 3. 1930-1931 Ford Model A 5 window hot rod 4. 2004 Ford Ranger XLT FX4 Level II 5. 1965 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe 289 hi-po (not having to piece it together w/ resin parts would be nice) -
Gold... got it. That makes sense. Part of me doesnt want to build it.. but I had to open it to find out! And part of me really wants to build it and do as you said... paint it gold on the backside, and put a good clear over the outside. I almost didnt buy this kit, but I was drawn to it and couldnt put it down when I was at hobby lobby.

Small update! Got my parts from Speed City Resin a while back, and got my engine mostly finished. I think I may rust the hilborn stacks. Not sure yet. Or spray the engine with dullcoat. I also finally got around to using my rust solution from Michael's... Sophisticated something-or-other... and I must say... for my first time with it... I'm kinda impressed. Turned out pretty much exactly how I had it in mind! There are still a few touch up's I have to do to the rust, like places that I missed w/ the reactive solution, and places I want a little more rust on, but I'll touch that up soon. But I'm overall happy with it. Still have to let the hood rust, and the core support.

I found the wheels I want to use for my Charger... but I'm missing more parts to this kit than I thought Missing a front wheelback, interior tub and both side interior panels, steering column, steering wheel, both front spindles, steering linkage, and rear end w/ leaf springs and extended shocks. If someone has extras, please let me know. Below, Some of the parts on the trees on top turned out to be to the Revell '67 GTX... since all these parts were mixed up in a giant box when I got them, I thought they were for the charger 2'n'1 initially, but after several parts box searches and sorting, I've turned up nothing.. theyve vanished in thin air. Along w/ a complete '67 Charger body/chassis... yet I have interior panels for it.

Roadkill's '68 Dodge Charger "General Mayhem"
JTalmage replied to JTalmage's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Most of the parts below I found out last night belong to the Revell '67 GTX.... and so that leaves me with a lot of missing parts for this charger unfortunately So far, I'm missing the interior tub, interior side panels, steering column and wheel, and one front wheel-back. Kinda depressing.I'll have to scour the interwebz and see if I can find some parts on ebay. -
I've had this for a bit, but I'm pretty proud of it. Although I'm not sure how to make it not be clear, but still showcase the orange flake ... thinking maybe an orange flake paint from behind?

I saw that too! I was a little depressed that someone already beat me to it! But mine will be a little more correct. -
Roadkill's '68 Dodge Charger "General Mayhem"
JTalmage replied to JTalmage's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thanks, I need to get back over to my buddy's house where I do my model building and see if I have a 727 Torqueflite that fits the revell 440 engine... I cant remember if I do! I might need some random parts for this car as many have been lost over the years so I'm sure I'll be posting wanted ads. -

That was a cool movie! intense! Truck looks great! -
I would like to find that kit myself! Although I'd be very tempted to chop the roof on it!
