  1. Im still using regular 1157 bulbs (short globe for space savings) and I got my modules from www.webelectricproducts.com and ordered the sts4 kit since I have 4 bulbs on each side. But yes, it is amazing how cheap and easy it is now
  2. I have been working on this car for years as time and money allows, and its slowly paying off. Its a 1993 Lincoln Mark Viii and it started out as a daily driver in '09. Long story short, I wrecked it and have been rebuilding it since about then. Now that all of the big stuff is out of the way, one of the things I have been waiting to do is install my sequential taillights. But on my car they never came with them. So with the help of the Internet and a good friend who is greater than me when it comes to wiring, it's done! And I thought I'd share a short clip from when we were testing them. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K3LmE5fl5SQ&feature=youtu.be
  3. Two turbos. One in front of the other. Small snail spooling big snail. Sticking up in place of where that blower/hillborn stacks would go. With an air filter on the front of them. now that would be wacky.
  4. Order yourself a resin hemi hillborn intake and tall stacks from speed city resin!
  5. Very cool! great work on converting it to a tubbed drag car
  6. This is getting good! can't wait to see more!
  7. ^^^I second that!
  8. I remember seeing a beige one sitting on the street as a kid down the road from my grandma and grandpa's house. And as a kid, I had a hard time wrapping my head around how they went from a GTO-looking body style.... to that.
  9. Sweet! I used to have an A body myself but it was too far gone.
  10. I would, but they wouldnt fit the tires. And thats about as wide as I can go w/ the stock suspension/stock kit parts I do have an AMT '71 Duster waiting in the wings with a resin '70 grille, bench seat, and 727 automatic. Trust me I've already started on it lol
  11. I'm bringing this thread back to life! Since it's too cold to paint, I can't really start anything new so I'm finishing up things I've been putting off. This was the perfect candidate. There are a couple small pieces that need painted so I'm hoping to sneak those in soon if the weather is dry and warm enough to get 15 minutes of painting in. Anyway here's the latest! Did a little mock up to amuse myself to see if I could still remember how it went together! LOL I needed to make a driveshaft for it because the Mr. Norm's engine/trans seemed to be a touch shorter. I also cut the dash out to resemble the 1:1 car. It had no gauge cluster nor ash tray door. I have a photoetched switch panel from the "NASCAR" version of the Pro-Modeler 69 Daytona which I will be using to simulate the switch panel on the real car. I also have been playing around with Tamiya weathering powders a lot and so I weathered the door panels with powder and paint. Then I applied some sophisticated finishes for some rust (this was before I threw em in the bag)
  12. I would go without the glass and use slats (like in The Punisher w/ Thomas Jane) or bars. Or maybe a mesh instead. As you may remember in Mad Max Road Warrior, Wez smashes the front glass out of the interceptor causing Max to crash.
  13. I watched an old episode of top gear last night on Netflix with Jeremy driving this car. What a machine!
  14. I believe it's called Born to lose Live to Win?
  15. No but now I know what I'll watch tonight when I get home!
  16. Nope. I'm not writing a book. That's another piece of digital or physical clutter I don't need in my life. I'll take progress photos and post them here in a thread but thats as close as I get. If I kept some sort of journal on my builds I'd never, ever finish anything. I'm lazy when it comes to certain things. So if I can get something done as quick as possible, I'll do it. Although my real project cars do not reflect this quality in me. I've had an '88 Mustang in my garage for almost a decade. About a quarter of that time was spent on a rotisserie. I miss drag racing but I'm in no hurry apparently to finish my pile.
  17. Saw this yesterday as well. Sad times indeed.
  18. R.I.P. Lemmy. I was fortunate enough to see them play in 2012 at the Mayhem Festival here in Cincinnati. Man it was cool, saw Anthrax for the 2nd time, and Slayer for the first time too at that concert and that was a real treat. He was one of those guys who you really thought was never gonna die considering the way he lived!
  19. Tamiya Silver Leaf looks pretty cool when sprayed and NOT cleared.
  20. Yep, I checked it out after I got off of here earlier. Might be something I should pick up in the future.
  21. Thanks. They didnt appear to be. I snapped them in the wheels pretty good. There is always a little play on a metal axle chassis though. I'd like to find an Ohio Highway Patrol car if it exists.
  22. Man, thats creepy. I'd have to toss the nose piece out just because I wouldnt want to stumble across it each time I dig thru my parts box, because it would creep me out each time!
