  1. That is soo cool!! Would be great if you could find some Cooper Cobra tire white letters!
  2. My track record of finishing is no good for my first year on this forum... but I have a few ideas of some builds I may try if I can get a hold of the proper kits! I may have 2 entries.
  3. I totally would do the green. I was thinking black for depth but green just goes with the custom theme!
  4. Holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH.... I had a toy as a kid with that character on the right... the grey guy with the blue helmet and suite.... What is the name of that guy???? I remember to this day he had some sort of vehicle that you could sit him in, and I was really young and mom put it in the yardsale and I took the guy out of it to play with him with other action figures I had and I came back and the vehicle was gone... to this day I never could figure out who he was!
  5. Love the Van! needs some blackwash in the wheels in my opinion though but looks killer otherwise!
  6. I want to make this when the time comes....
  7. Beautiful. I may have missed it but what did you paint the glass roof with for that green tint look?
  8. Even though Mercury went to the stacked headlights in '65 for the Comet while Ford kept the side by side headlights in the Fairlane I'm pretty sure they're the same chassis. I cannot wait to see what the chassis and suspension looks like on this kit... especially that sweet little 289. Will this kit depict the 289 "High Performance" engine or just the standard 4 barrel? If its going to be a Hi-Po in the kit... man... I'd buy a few! I need a good chassis for my replica build of my dad's 65 Fairlane when I get to starting on it....
  9. Same here!
  10. Roadkill is pretty much the best show out there right now. Hope they dont bloat it w/ all the corporate BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH, or drag it down like always happens with good things. I've got many Roadkill builds in mind. General Mayhem and Muscle Truck are the only two I've actually started on but stalled til I can find time to build again. I have the kits to do these: Crusher Camaro, Rotsun, Freiburger's Superbee, The Ronco (Bronco from cheap truck challenge episode) I need to get kits to build: Flatrod Jeep, Finnigan's El Camino, and a couple kits to kitbash and make Ramptruck. If only someone made a '68 Ranchero... I'd be all over making the Raunchero... love that car. I also would love to make the Landspeed Camaro and Rat 50 Mercury convertible but those dont appeal to me as much.
  11. I was kinda late to the party I guess you could say... I didnt understand/appreciate/recognize "traditional" hot rods until recently... and I love them. Of course, when it comes to the traditional stuff... I've learned if you dont have period correct parts and look then youll catch hell. I only wish I had gone thru some sort of metal working classes or training so I could maybe get my foot in the door somewhere. I think I'd like to build hot rods. Really any kind of hot rod, high tech, low tech, muscle cars... I just love cars... especially when its being paid for by someone elses money and I get to be the one doing the wrenching/building/planning. Which also may explain why none of my own projects are done.
  12. My job irks me. But it does every day. Why is it always that when one tries to do their hobby as a job they hate it... then get out of it only to go into a different field that they hate even more, and want to go back to previous field of work? Just to hate it again more than likely. I keep telling myself I'd love get out of what im doing, not go back to what I did before, (because there's no money in it unless your 17-19yrs old) and then try something new that I enjoy as a hobby.... like paint/bodywork... But something tells me its not all peaches and cream in that field either. Not sure I could do flat rate auto body stuff.... Guess I'll suck it up and keep doing what I'm doing so I dont hate my hobbies.
  13. I'd bring those front A pillars down just a touch. Give it more of a streamlined look. IMO
  14. Wow... just... WOW!! Sleepers.. the both of them. Beautiful!!!
  15. I'll talk to a friend of mine who runs a hotrod shop that actually did a lot of sheet metal repair on a bare WWII jeep body recently and see what I can find. In the mean time, I know they're not bare... but I found these shots on google...
  16. Can't wait to get around to doing my idea for the '67 Camaro! Looks great!
  17. Ive been wanting to do the Jeeprod Roadkill jeep as well... but didnt really want to swing the price of those expensive military kits...
  18. AH! Found it! http://earlyyearsresin.webs.com/engines.htm Bout halfway down the page
  19. Old picture... missing an acoustic, a squire bullet (fender strat) that I got for free, and a bass guitar/practice amp. This was my Gibson Les Paul 60s tribute when I first got it... This was after... Got this little Sears amp my dad bought back in the day.. good little guy w/ tubes! Got this set up for a song... Peavey Penta head and a sheffield 4x12 cabinet. Penta needed 2 tubes and a soldered board fuse. My two favorites together... another old pic Also missing out of all this mess is a 2nd Peavey head and 4x12 sheffield cabinet which is at a friends house. I've acquired all this stuff soo cheap I cant even think about parting with it... even though I cant really play that well... Suppose I oughta rent it out HAHA
  20. I like it! I keep seeing the things people are building out of this kit yet I've never picked one up. At this rate I'll need a dozen of em.
  21. Well it looks like an annual is harder to find than I thought. Looks like it will be a season 4 and up car. I have a 77-78 in the closet unfinished. Now... to find the correct steering wheel, wheels, and air cleaner.
