Mike, great that you comment now. Chris, many thanks for your detailed pics, these recent pics have become the absolute reference for fuel systems on my current, and future builds. Detailing is thrilling to view, many thanks from my side. -

Excellent, a really cool project. Innovative and wonderfully carried out. Brian you really did a great job on this model and I really enjoyed your updates and picking up some tips as well, this was lots of fun to follow. Well done! -
Got a green light today after long term ECG. Zero heart problems reported. Arteries all clear and fine and things are pumping as they should. Even a compliment about the blood count, low cholesterol and other values are very nice. Tomorrow a renewed checkup about blood pressure, apparently the meds need to be re-arranged due to incompatibility. I'm much happier now. Great to read lots of older guys still at it here! Good stuff.

Thanks John, I can imagine the doubles made some noise! Interesting, from what little I've gathered about 1/4 mile results, the horsepower level is more important in the top end speeds. Maybe the higher speeds, even if et's were very similar, was a direct result from more horsepower compared to the single engine entries. Anyways, a real nice model, and I'm appreciative of your feedback.

Firing order for American engines.

Guys, if you're following through with wiring a 1:25 distributor, just cross the wires up a little at the cap, that's more than enough. Larger scales should be more correct, my opinion. Just do it like the millions of closeup pics available. -
Guys, how do you do it? How do you apply this stuff? I like the idea of braided wire for external oil lines, but can't really enjoy using for fuel lines to a carb motor. Do you feed a smaller wire through the braided wire to make it usable? What is the standard usage of this material? Anyone?

I really like this model. It depicts some serious power and mechanics. A very interesting and unique model, compliments. Question: Excluding the theory of twin engines, what would be the ET and MPH difference between a single and a twin, being that all three motors were very similar? Any trial testing, or even benchmarks to show? What would the engineers say?

How true. At present, I'm in limbo and worrying, testing is not complete yet. I don't feel well, period. New stuff for me. Dave, I'm pleased to read of your recovery!

Congrats to you Chicago fans, that must have been an exciting series. One like this is really tough for the other team, but you Cubs fans know this too well. I have a question though, we never get any MLB in old Europe. Why are the uniform pants legs so long? To me they looked like some kind of jogging sweat pants. Is this a National League thing? Tradition? Just more modern times? I prefer baseball, I do not like football. Never have.

Harry mentioned recently, we ought to have a "Sick Bay Forum". For us over 60 guys, I'm inclined to agree. Preferably though as a commenter, and not a poster. Scratch that though. I've been having blood pressure issues and good doctors, prescriptions and me, have yet to find a common ground. Right now I'm about to fall asleep while typing, five minutes ago I heard my heartbeat pounding in my ears and my eyes became bloodshot. This is like a roller coaster. Today a doctor visit brought an intake change, tomorrow an appointment for a long term ECG. I'm worried. This has been going on for a half year now. Meds are not making up for the difference. Age. Yep. Fact.

Play ball! Wow, game 7, exciting. I'd say being a sucker for pitches off zone may easily equal home runs and big hits. Every player knows high and outside is a sure big hit, often over the fence. Done it many times. Lets have a great closing game for 2 famous clubs!

Ken, now that's a good one, how true. Heck, getting up early was never a problem for me, nowadays its even easier. Then a coffee and the stretching and bending program starts, takes a lot more time than it used too. Nowadays, at least an hour, better 90 minutes before I can leave the house for chores. Hey, I have to read news online about the Series and Politics, that takes even more time!

I was happy to see the Cubs facing the Indians, a great matchup, my opinion. I'm hoping for the Indians win, I went to several of their games as a kid, spending lots of summers in Ohio and the Great Lakes. I liked too as a kid, that my Dad would come home early during the Series and we'd watch TV together. But boy did he hate the Yankees! My favorite team. I more than likely watched the games that Bill talks about too, great times.

Great to see that so many older types are still building, good stuff. Lots left to build guys, lets do it! 65 here.

Good to hear when you're not alone, and that lots of you guys have issues with getting rid of stuff. A new chapter has started with the wife and myself. Maybe more furniture to clutter up the basement and attic coming up? A few years back, the wife thought a "sleep couch" would be a good idea for guests to sleep on for overnight visits. Great. The folks that used to visit, then stay overnight have in the meantime passed away. Relatives and such. Also, this so called sleep couch is in my study, the place where I build at home. The couch sucks. Has from the very beginning. Uncomfortable to sit on, not much better to sleep on. So, we're getting a new type deal. A 2 seater couch recliner, now this thing is comfortable! Electric too for tilting. Good thing. The old couch....well, she wants to save it! No way! The thing looks good, but is uncomfortable. What do I need more unused junk sitting around for nothing but taking space up that can be used otherwise. I told her sell it for $50 and be happy. No one bites though.

I'm thinking now, the 4 hole blower hats that I have are from the Revell 427 Ford Parts Pack. The only ones I've seen so far, they seem to be rare.
-
Matt, good looking body style, and your preparations are just right. Nice project, and you've done your homework, I like.
-
Kerry, since you posted the question here, can we have a look at the PM too? Tyrone won't mind, he's out to lunch.
-
Nice detailing Brian, very clean and looks quite convincing. You're doing well here, keep on posting, looks like some really fine work. Michael

Good looking scratch build Walter! So which kit did you find the 392? Also, the 4 hole blower hat, that's from a different motor, right? Some Miss Deal parts look like they may have been donated, that kit has a decent 392. Could you offer some insight, also about the 4 hole injector hat? Thanks for digging this build up, looks good.

Hi Tom, man that does look fine! Great paint, I like seeing this car in black. QUESTION: The wheels look especially good, my opinion. How did you achieve this particular finish? Looks like real metal. Are they metal? Also, I think its good when new guys, greetings to Brian alias Metaldrumm at this point (!), show interest in cars that were posted a while back. this way they can remain in our memories a tad longer and we can have another look. Good stuff.

Hi Chris, a great and positive update! How's it feeling to be on the road now? Are you gone from home for long?
-
I like the idea of the nail clippers, I'll bet they work very well. Then trim and smooth up as mentioned above.

Yeah, his boyish nerd look would have him running for sure.
