  1. That's neat, "Surfin' on the Tames" Beach Boys meet the Beatles greg
  2. Wood floors were used probably due to the durability, ease of access of material and what do you do with the wood workers who made the wood spoke wheels greg
  3. Maybe a little more specific that I am looking for are the flare side beds with the wood floors greg
  4. Are Dodge pick up bed floors painted black, stained wood, or all the body color? What color are the metal stays- black or body color if the wood is natural? circa 70's greg

  6. Here are pics of my two encounters with these tires, The Jeep chassis tires are from a glue bomb that some one else did and the tread ends are on the bottom, There is a little space between the tread on those. The Dodge chassis are the tires I did with the contact cement. I stretched them as I put them on the core used tape all around the tire until set They do make a nice mudder, upcoming project greg
  7. Yes they were three piece tire, I used 'Goo' brand contact cement to get the tread on the plastic sidewall greg
  8. Very nice job, Did you forget the rearview mirror? Can't tell from the photos did you put in the wiper motors? One of my favorite kits except the poor engineering on the axle and wheels , just to weak greg
  9. Fit was good as this was built with original 72 chevy camper kit
  10. This is still in rehab, Long time ago I took the MPC Open Road camper and matched it up to the MPC Dodge van, Upgraded to newer grille and still looking for the parts to finish, I had fun doing the bed, woodgrain and formica details I put the mirrors on the camper so I could put it on another kit which was a Dodge pick up greg

  12. Had another collector come over and cut the coupons off my boxes as I wasn't interested, Did you ever notice the boxes didn't stack right after having a corner cut off. Wasn't there more wheels on the larger kits like the General and Christie? greg
  13. The gear is down and it appears the truck is ahead of the kingpin, If its still there Monday I'll get front shots greg

  16. I have to pass this along http://www.arcair.com/Gal14/13201-13300/gal13246-Heli-Combi-Petrie/00.shtm This really different greg
  17. Thanks Bill for the information, That explains the gaps in the timeline with the car going cross country several times. I knew the Ford promo film was late 50 early 60 and wondered how the car got back to them. Interesting side bar was that when I was in college one instructor I had worked in Detroit as a designer and he said that the designers often would go back and forth between the companies, ever notice the coke bottle Fords and then Pontiacs? greg
  18. I got the Batmoble with the TV figures the other day and I dusted off my old Revell Futura kit thinking that Bruce Wayne should have had this as his daily driver. When I was doing some research on the Futura I came across this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9v3lIN9EOY Which shows Ford designers and engineers beside a RED Futura...... Now the story is that there was only one built and was repainted for a 1959 movie, so I am so confused that professor Peaody and his way back machine as no idea what date to set it at. Maybe there were 2 of them after all. Isn't interesting that Ford lost the 'Futura' name greg
  19. Unbelievable she would have been 33 years old when I was 16 and watching her and Jethro Had to watch the Twilight Zone episode she was in what a different role RIP greg

  25. Very nice build, One question- would the battery be under the hood or back in the trunk? Want NASCAR to be exciting, bring back gas caps and lug wrenches greg
