  1. Beautiful work, diggin’ that convertible boot! Outstanding details, love the color.
  2. Love those old Chrysler Land Yachts. 🛥️
  3. Ahh, whenever I think of Christine it’s “Christine, Sixteen!” All the “Army friends” will get it!🤣 Looks very nice, nice chrome work.
  4. Wow! I’ve never seen a 4 Door Holden only a few Holden/GTO’s. Nice job.👍🏻
  5. Great choice of colors and nice detail work!
  6. Nice job and I too like the different color!
  7. Beautifully done! He’s in for a real surprise.
  8. That’s a tough chassis to make look authentic, and you nailed it! Excellent job!
  9. Okay guys not sure if this has been asked before but I’m wondering if some of you Vintage NASCAR guys can answer these questions : 1: When did NASCAR go from single dumps out of each side to dual dumps seen on Monograms GM’s? 2: What size Plastruc Tubing is the right size for early models? Just trying to make them as accurate as possible for future projects! As always “thanks for responding!”
  10. Completed this one this week for a friend. I tried to find some chassis pics but couldn’t find any, I’ve seen later model Holly Farms Montes with black interior but decided to go red to set it off! Same window net and sink hole repairs as my other Salvino’s kits, paint is Tamiya Pure White and Rustoleum Apple Red. I’m going with the AMT Rear Suspension setup on my next build per Dave’s ideas! Thanks for looking.
  11. Beautiful work! How about I send you my Mercury body to you and I’ll just let you paint it! Since you’ve already got the practice! 🤣🤣👍🏻👍🏻
  12. Lars I have to agree with Dragline you truly create magic!
  13. Yes, those are the ones
  14. Title pretty much sums it up! Let me know or if you have a complete kit tell me what you want for them/it! Thanks, Mel
  15. I’ve got you covered, sorry for the delay, do want just the center caps or do you want to whole wheel as well? p.m. your address and I’ll get them out to you!
  16. Nice clean build not too often seen! Always rooting’ (with one current exception 🤣🤣) for those Va. boys! Well done!
  17. And they say “you can’t make a silk purse from sows ear”, well you definitely succeeded! That’s always been my favorite car, as a 12 year old I finally had a Chevrolet to root for! 😆 Well done Mark.👏🏻👏🏻
  18. Lars I only have one question… “Can we hear it run?!!” Saying any thing that hasn’t been said is truly an understatement! To quote Bob Ueker from the classic movie Major League “You Hit That One Deeeep Over the Wall in Right Field”!
  19. Wow! I’ve been around a long time and seen a lot of rare stuff but never seen or heard about a Baldwin Motion BUICK! Amazing job on a truly rare bird!
  20. Yeah Dave I definitely agree! Always thought they looked “off”, is that correct scale one in your picture from the old AMT or Monogram kits? I’m guessing from looking at it the AMT?
  21. Yeah, nothing like watching an old YouTube video and hearing what a real NASCAR used to sound like! I grew up watching Lennie run Late Models at Southside Speedway not too far from my house!
  22. Thanks for the kind words, I decided to leave the roll cage in the molded in vermillion as well just to set it off a little.
  23. Picked this one up on eBay, was opened complete and at a fair price for a friend of mine. Took a chance on the body which is molded in Vermilion Red and left it unpainted, then added the kit decals. I used one of Clay Kemps tricks I saw on one of his YouTube videos, applied the “Petty Blue” decals, held the body up to a lamp with an older incandescent light bulb to soften the decals, then applied generous coats of “Mark Fit Strong” setting solvent. With a LOT of patience and a lot of solvent the decals actually snugged down with minimal damage. Again, plastic dealer tag was used to cover up some of the ugly sink marks and was also used to close the large gap under the rear of the body!
