  1. Look on the back of the decal sheet, AMT puts the month and year of release.
  2. Nope, they wouldn't do it. My neighbor is into woodworking and had a fine tooth band saw that was prefect for cutting Plexiglas.
  3. Okay, I'll play. Walmart book shelves with plexiglass from Home Depot cut to fit.
  4. Hey, here's a gluebomb '32 Custom Sedan I got off Epay and I tried to clean it up. Even had the super solf tires still.
  5. For me it is the Revell SWC '41 Willys when it was first released in the summer of 1963. I remember saving up my 50 cents weekly allowance til I had enough (about $2.50 w/postage) to order one from my Auto World catalog. Checked the mailbox every day for weeks until it arrived. Unfortunately it was more advanced than my skills were then, but I had it on display in my room when I finished. I brushed painted it maroon.
  6. Casey, thank you. I got to see them between fighting with ads.
  7. The rifles came from the Force 440 Plymouth cop car kit. The hunting and fishing set I don't remember where they came from. Lost the bow for the arrows.
  8. Am kitbashing a '74 GTX also, any chance of restoring the pics that Photobucket is holding for ransom?
  9. Well, what I did was use a stock AMT '58 Edsel body and the interior tin, chassis, wheels, tires and engine from an AMT AWB Comet kit. Mustang AWB donor should work as well , but that chassis doesn't hinge.
  10. Was hoping for this in prepainted Gulf markings.
  11. Is it a prepainted (Gulf colors) body or white plastic?
  12. Did this 10 years ago, still waiting on better decals (had to make my own). Have the USAirfix Cobra II in the "to finish" stash. Have the decal sheet for it but not the motivation, yet.
  13. Am I the only one who noticed another price increase? $31.95 for a rerelease kit I have in my stash that I paid $2.00 for 45 years ago! I'll pass on all.
  14. Hey, great build, Crizila. Have one in my stash that I've started working on. First thing I did was cut open the windscreen to mount the kit included roll bar as you did. Don't think the tech crew would have let it run without one. Good looking replica.
  15. Just left my local HL, at the clearance table they had: '64 Plymouth Lawman $14.99, '71 Dodge Charger $10.79, '60 Corvette gasser $10.79, Cosmic Charger $10.79 and I bought a Soapy Sales FC for $10.79. Guess they need the room for the new kits.
  16. Was asked for a pic of all the chassis available for a 1969 FC build. Back row: original JoHan, new Polar Lights, new Revell middle row: old MPC, Charlie Allen/ Ramchargers style MPC front : later JoHan
  17. Hey Snake, thanks for the comments, I do appreciate them. The Jungle Jim Nova is an AMT "Old Pro" body on a Polar lights chassis. Engine was from the parts box. The chassis had to be shorted a bit to fit the "stock" Nova body. Had to do some mods to get the tin work in. Decals are from Slixx. Here's a website that shows pics for the restored version that I used for reference,. http://www.hotrodhotline.com/jungle-jim-liberman-1969-nova-funny-car Hope this helps.
  18. I don't know why but I just keep adding to my collection of 1969 Funny cars. Maybe it's the choice of chassis, or availability of decals. Anyway here they are, no super detailing but a lot of time on decals. The Mickey Thompson Mustang isn't finished yet.
  19. Yes, I do have more pics. it's a project that has been on my to do list for many years. I will try to put them on the 1:1 section
  20. Ah, but you gotta love Gene Snow's '66 AWB Dart "Rambunctious" all Aluminum interior.
  21. All the 90's issues of Revell funny cars share the same chassis. They were fairly well detailed and are definitely 1/24 scale. They are easily found on Ebay for sometimes okay pricing.
  22. You sir have hit a goldmine. I sold a couple of spare unbuilt LS 1:1 pistol kits on Ebay for over $80 each when bidding ended. Be sure to include shipping to Europe and Japan. Unbuilt pistol models are very prized to buyers in countries that ban all real gun ownership. Seems they can own a unbuilt non-firing model but not a real one. I stated in my description that I will ship USA only but would ship to a third party agent in USA who would ship to other countries. Good luck.
