  1. Saw the article on the internet about the Legacy conversion of a '55 Chevy 3100 to a NAPCO 4x4. Decide to try and replicate. Using an AMT '55 Stepside and the suspension (plus wheels and tires) from the new release of the MPC Deserter 4x4. Here's a mockup of pre assembly. I like the stance so far.
  2. Hey, how about the Rupp Super Sno-sport? I know it is 1/20th scale but it has all the right parts. There are a bunch on Ebay.
  3. Sorry to be so late to your tread Mark, but your doing great work. Here's a pic of (the restored) Dale Earnhardt's 1977 Olds engine bay as he ran in Talladega in 1980. It should be close to how the Monte Carlo was setup then. Hope this helps. It is from the book : Vintage & Historic Stock Cars by Dr. John Craft. It is a great reference for Stock Cars run from 1950 thru 1994, it's loaded with many color pics.
  4. I just found that the original release of the Landy '68 Charger came out in 1999. The release of the 2 n 1 '68 Charger came out in 2008. I hope Revell doesn't wait that long this time to release a stock '70 Charger.
  5. Chuck, I never noticed before (because I still haven't built it) but I looked at my '68 2 n 1 Charger body and there is a 1mm section of vinyl at the base of the drip molding. And there are no side signal lights molded on the body, just decals.
  6. This release reminds me of the Revell Dick Landy '68 Charger that came out before the release of the '68 Charger 2 in 1. The Landy could be built only one way and the later 2 in 1 had parts for both stock and race versions with different decals. Found my Revell 2 in 1 '68 Charger (2008 release date) in my stash. Still had a Hobby Lobby price sticker for $17.99. The new Revell kits are now $29.99 but there is "no inflation" in America, really!
  7. My local Hobby Lobby has a slot marked for the "Revell F & F '70 Charger" in the model section. So they should have them in stock soon. Sad about the molded hole in the hood, now I'll just wait for the stock release.
  8. Just my opinion, but the AMT SS Monza can be worked to a pretty close rendition of the Keyser 1976 IMSA Monza for a lot less cash.
  9. A few more.
  10. A few of mine.
  11. Many congrats Brad. Well deserved award for a great build.
  12. Here's what your looking for: Testors #43 Petty Racing Blue item #52955. And yes, they don't make it anymore.
  13. Also check out this Hot Rod article and pics of the restored car.http://www.hotrodhotline.com/jungle-jim-liberman-1969-nova-funny-car
  14. I used a Polar Lights chassis and a modified Chevy engine with an AMT (Old Pro) Nova body.
  15. Awww, it would have been a great model project, but not if it's diecast. I got excited there for a moment.
  16. Hey, what truck is that in the new AMT Round 2 display case in their new item list for 2015?
  17. I redid a reissue MPC '69 Barracuda into a '69 Sox and Martin one years ago. I decided to use a Jo-Han S&M '71 chassis and engine instead of the MPC ones. A vast improvement. It did take a lot of cutting and sanding to get the MPC interior to fit the Jo-Han chassis.
  18. Also added a 5.7L Chevy engine with 4x2v Webbers .
  19. Redid an AMT Monza SS (1976 version) into a Michael Keyser IMSA racer years ago.
  20. Hey, "TooOld", any progress on this great creation?
  21. You can contact Nikki at poppawheelie65@yahoo.com. I have had very good results with her decals and would highly recommend them.
